Vaginal pessaries
HiI should be really grateful for advice from anybody in the same position as myself, who has managed to navigate the position in the UK regarding pessaries for pelvic floor prolapse. I am nearly 75 and found out around 6 months ago that I have a rectocele, grade 2, and a cystocele, grade 1 which unfortunately

Do I need to stop taking estrogen? Feel as if I'm choosing between mental and physical health.
So I've read a lot now- probably too much. From what I can gather from things (and I am new to this - didnt know I had endometriosis until Tuesday when they aborted my hysterectomy as my bowel is fused to my cervix) estrogen seems to be the driving force behind endometriosis. Is that true? It also seems

HRT and magnesium supplements
Hi I’m new on here. I’m taking oestrogel 1-2 pumps in the morning, and one progesterone capsule at night. I’m increasingly frequently waking up in the night and I’m exhausted. Have tried other HRT types which made me feel mad and wild so I want to stick with this. Friends have recommended magnesium

Hi everyone, I'm a long time ThyroidUK participant. Right now the thyroid replacement is good, vitamins, minerals, are all great. I'm very particular to ensure this. I use HRT (Triestrogen/progesterone) topical cream and have used since age 45 and I'm now 65. Here's the problem: in March

Afib and menopause
I was told going off estrogen can cause palpitations. I’ve been on it long enough, but I’m afraid to stop for fear of triggering my paroxysmal afib. What are some of your experiences?

Stopping Letrozole
Good afternoon. My wife had breast cancer 5 years ago. Lorraine was treated in Newcastle with surgery/radiotherapy. Happily all is good. Lorraine has been on Letrozole for nearly five years and here in Scotland the practice is to stop the Letrozole at the five year mark. My wife is nervous about

Progesterone: oestrogen ratio
Hi all I recently got my oestrogen and progesterone levels done by medichecks.I was hoping they worked out the actual ratio of oestrogen to progesterone but they don't so now I'm confused. The 2 results are calculated in different values (pmol/L Vs nmol/L) which makes it hard to interpret if one of

Could low iron be making me feel very unwell?
For the past 6 weeks I have had awful dizziness, tingling feet, feeling spaced and almost consents tinnitus. It’s got so bad I’m having to go to bed for chunks of the day and when I’m up I don’t feel very present. I’ve seen a neurologist, had an MRI and CT scan and a brain bleed was ruled out. The

How can I thicken my womb lining quickly?
Does anyone have any tips on how I can thicken my womb lining quickly? I've only just started my IVF journey and my scan showed a lining of 5mm. I'm waiting to hear if I'm okay to start an oestrogen trial as I've had clotting problems in the past. In the meantime I was wondering if there is much I

FSH going from 8 to 43 just in few weeks while preparing for a FET, is it temporary or menopause?
Hi Ladies Can anyone help put a light to my issue of FSH going from 8 to 43 just in 2-3 weeks while I was doing tests before a frozen transfer. I am devastated as I cannot find a logic to this. Background I am preparing for a FET cycle but my hormons all of a sudden messed up besides my thin lining

Where was I?
I gave some insight recently into problems I’d had which led to a diagnosis of Vestibular Migraine. I posted as Everywhere. However, Everywhere disappeared and is now nowhere to be seen in the members list. As a result of an HU glitch which took them a week to sort out, I had to rejoin as Everywhere2

mild IVF? not great so far.
Just an update on how mild IVF is going so far for anyone interested: After multiple (7!) miserable attempts with traditional IVF (1-2 mature eggs retrieved each time), I finally switched to a mild protocol. I did a week of estrogen priming with provera in the previous luteal phase, then started Clomid

Hot flushes and night sweats
Hi everyone I would like some advice please. I had been in HRT for 22 years (implants) but when I moved 8 years ago I couldn’t find a gynaecologist to do implants so I decided to stop using HRT. All was fine for 4/5years then I suddenly start having flushes during the day and night sweats which have

Thin lining 6.1 mm before transfer -any success stories?
Hi everyone,I've been preparing for my 4th FET transfer and was looking for support and maybe success stories of someone in a similar situation. I wasn't told the correct medication protocol until I sent 4 messages to my clinic to clarify via portal and for several days took my estrogen tablets orally

Sudden change in fT4 levels
I was diagnosed with autoimmune hypothyroidism in 1995 at age 19 and did well on levothyroxine alone for years. I always felt better with fT4 high in range, although this suppressed my TSH to almost undetectable levels. A few years ago, I started to get hypo symptoms again, and bloods showed that my
