Hyperthyroid and heart failure
Last year I had left ventricular failure with a ejection fraction of 35 but the last test was an ej of 55. I take ramipril 2x 5mg and have been told to stay on it for life as an article in the lancet says if I stop my heart failure could return. Is this correct. I have also been hyperthyroid for several

Radiation treatment for Hyperthyroid
I have been taking carbimazole for 4 years now for hyperthyroid, my latest blood tests are normal. Last year I had left ventricular problem with low ejection fraction but this is now low normal. I take ramipril and the thoughts are that it was a virus that affected my heart muscle. The thyroid doctors

Progress Summary of my journey
(08/18/2019) Last week, I saw my Radiation Oncologist. I signed all the forms to enter a study targeting oligometastatic prostate cancer patients - if early radiation treatment of the metastatic lesions improves survival times. Of interest is that the prostate shows regression after about 2 ½ months

Favorable Ga-PSMA scan results at UCLA !!
I had my 68 Ga-PSMA scan at UCLA last Tuesday. Got the report on thursday and it showed . . only two sites of cancer expressing PSMA: Both lymph nodes in the pelvis alongside the left iliac artery. Nothing in the prostate fossa (where I had RP and salvage EBRT in 2007. None in the bones or other organs

Starting a hopeful course of RT
I'm about to embark on a 44-session radiation treatment which my RO calls "out of the box." Diagnosed in summer of '17 with gleason 8, I immediately started ADT with 6-month Lupron and daily 500 mgs Zytiga (half-strength due to liver stress). PSA has been undetectable for well over a year. The

Zytiga and intermittent fever
Hello everyone, my dad’s oncologist wants to start my dad on Zytiga. Our only concern is my dad had sepsis about a month ago, two surgeries and is not eating well. Now he’s also been having intermittent fever. He was on chemo prior to the sepsis. The oncologist said it’s ok to proceed with Zytiga.
