Chronic Radiation Enteritis Sufferer
Hi So glad I found this site. I feel so alone with this debilitating disease. I had radiotherapy in 1996 for cervical cancer. For many years I have suffered bouts of bloating, nausea, cramps, diarrhoea and constipation. I put it down to ibs and so did doctors until last year it had got worse and I’d

chemo experiences
I will be starting chemo for the first time with carboplatin/docetaxel next week after recovering a bit from radiation therapy to shrink the prostate. Can others tell me of their experience with this treatment? They will also give me CSF (Zarxio). Age 69. Reside in the Pacific northwest. Diagnosed

Safety and Efficacy of Virtual Prostatectomy With Single-Dose Radiotherapy in Patients With Intermediate-Risk Prostate Cancer
FYI: https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamaoncology/fullarticle/2777068 Not sure I like the use of the term "virtual" prostatectomy. Several years ago something called a "brush biopsy" was promoted to dentists. IMO it was NOT a biopsy (though apparently the company was very aggressive in going after

Stage 3 Lung Cancer
Hi everyone, I’ve spent the last couple of months looking through various forums online and finally plucked up the courage to post today. My dad turned 60 this year and has recently been diagnosed last month with stage 3 lung cancer. It’s one tumour on the right side of his lung and his lymph nodes

Nausea as a consequence of radiotherapy
Because of a cervical tumor, I started going for radiotherapy. After the second day of therapy I have terrible nausea and all my food has a horrible smell. Is that normal?

What are the expected PSA values after SRT?
Hello, Could you tell me what are the expected PSA values after Salvage Radiotherapy (SRT), a certain fluctuation between 0,04 and 0,06 is normal after 7 months post-RT? Thanks!

Oligometastasic PCa
New Canadian study below [1[. Questions remain regarding oligometastatic (i.e. few mets) PCa. Is it curable with metastasis-directed treatment (MDT) alone? Does MDT improve survival? Patients had "rising PSA (0.4-3.0 ng/mL) after maximal local therapy (radical prostatectomy and post-operative radiotherapy

Wish me luck,
Well I now have four out of four mets. I have liver, spine , lungs and now brain. Start my whole brain radiotherapy on Monday. Looking at this board it seems I am going to be exhausted for a couple of months. Not looking forward to wearing the mask either, as I am very claustrophobic 😢

neutropaenia long after Rx
Has anyone had low neutrophils long after Radiotherapy? Nearly a year after it, my neutrophils are only 0.6, way below the lower normal range.

Breast surgery after radiotherapy
Has anyone had surgery after having radiotherapy on their breast. I am faced with this dilemma so am interested to find out how things went, did you heal ok. Good/bad results cosmetically? Any problems. Anything else you can share would be most helpful. Many thanks

My treatment update......
I apologise for not posting sooner as I have had a terrible time since New Year's Eve. I had my first round of Chemo on Christmas Eve and a follow up dose at home on New Year's Eve. All down hill from there on in. To cut a long story short I ended up in hospital on two occasion both times with Gallstone

Diet advise to beat rectal cancer
Hi guys! I am 26 years old, and I got diagnosed of rectal cancer in 2 months ago. It was said to be 8cm in size, but localised. I have had two doses of the chemotherapy treatment already, and still have others including radiotherapy scheduled. I would like to know if there are things to eat, and diet

Looking for a good MO specializing in prostate cancer treatment.
I have been receiving treatment at Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota for the last 3 years. Urologist is Matthew Tollefson. As psa is just starting to rise after radiation therapy, 6 months of Lupron and a 6 month period of being undetectable, I am thinking that I should have a good MO involved. Any

Fatigue
My mum has terrible fatigue to the point that she couldn’t move out of bed this morning. She eventually got up and has taken it very slow and easy all day, but she says it feels like all life has been sucked out of her body. She’s due to start second-line treatment a week tomorrow after the chemo/immunotherapy
