Hi Cleo

Please ring your Breast Care Nurse tomorrow & let her know, they may ask you to go in to see them.

It may be due to the surgery pulling on the the nipple but definitely worth getting it checked out.

Try not to worry until you’ve been seen & let us know how you get on.

Kind Regards

MrsN 🌷🌷

I think your should get it checked as soon as you can. There is no harm in asking. I think always best, if you’re not sure to ask. Fingers crossed and hope all okay. Keep in touch xx

I’d ring them back & say you’d prefer to come into see them for them to check it out to put your mind at rest.

I’m disappointed that their response wasn’t more proactive to be honest.......

MrsN has spoken! xx

Hi Cleo

Its tough not to worry even when the nurse tries to reassure you. It does sound like the surgery has pulled a little, it didnt affect my nipple but certainly my surgery left a pulling on the affected breast. Look after yourself, slaver yourself with moistureriser and try to do the recommended exercises. Hugs Caroline xxxx

I’m glad you rang them to ask. I understand what they have said but if you are still worried please ask to go in and have it checked. I have done that myself on 2 occasions following a mastectomy in Jan. Only recently I called the bcn as I thought I could feel a lump under my arm where I had lymph node clearance. To be honest I am scared to keep checking and feeling, that is something I need to get better with, because I am scared to find anything. As it was I was assured by the consultant that it was scar tissue and how it had healed, to massage and may disperse a bit of the fluid there. I was so nervous but knew if I just sat with it I wouldn’t be able to settle.

I’ll leave you to decide but don’t be scared to ask again. Sometimes you need to do what is right for you, no one else matters but you. Take care and let us know how you get on xx

Hi Cleo

one of my nipples is inverted from the surgery. The more it healed, the more inverted the nipple became. The other nipple did not do that, so it was scary. Turns out it was because of where the tumor was and nothing to worry about - but I did call and check on it just to make sure! Better to be safe than sorry
