Rectal bleeding monthly and had bowel resection?

Hi Ladies,

Just wanted to know if anyone out there is suffering like i am?

I have been bleeding through my bowel 15plus years. Complained for years and years. Been diagnosed with IBS, which i think is a misdiagnosis of Endometriosis.

I had excision surgery in April this year privately with an Endometriosis Specialist. It was a diagnostic laparoscopy. I had Endometriosis in my diaphragm, bowel, left tube, left ovary, chocolate cyst on left ovary, cyst on right ovary. Alot of my left side was stuck together. My sigamoid was where my left ovary/ tube should be. My left ovary was hidden under my bowel.

Every period since my surgery i still bleed through my bowel. My specialist said I'll need a resection in the future. He thinks i have endo deep within my bowel. He has written to my gp and suggests i have a colonoscopy to check i dont have anyone other issues causing the bleed. But he thinks its more than likely endo/hormone related as it only happens on my periodm

I am on an urgent list for a colonoscopy ans MRI scan. I have had numerous MRIs and everyone has come back clear on my bowel. Which i dont understand? As i evidently had endo on my bowel ??

Does anyone suffer with this rectal bleeding? And what path did you take? Has anyone had a bowel resection and did it work? Did the bleeding stop?
