BARRETT'S OESOPHAGUS -- how is the likelihood of it becoming malignant monitored?
The AF pattern changes when tissue becomes neoplastic due to altered metabolic activity and haemoglobin content together with a breakdown of
collagen
fibre cross-links. This results in a shift towards the red spectrum when such tissue is excited with blue light.

Itchy hands...
I know the cause it's something to do with lower oestrogen affecting
collagen
levels and weakening the immune system. I also get folliculitis on a regular basis. Many thanks.

Low dose naltrexone, collagen, & other alternatives
Please see my posts in the NRAS community. I can't repeat everything here, but I have LONG posts there! I'm posting here because I live in N California & hope I can tie in with other RD folks in my area, particularly those trying alternatives (or complements) to steroids, mainstream DMARD's, & biologics

Vitamins and minerals
Also take MSM, rose hip and
collagen
for joints etc and multi b complex. Started taking a good quality probiotic and D3 as soon as put on pred. Have hit a bit of a brick wall health wise after a nasty sickness bug don't seem to be getting over it and doubting everything.

collagen
I wondered if there was a link to my eds. anyone else experience of this? The consultant didn't have much experience of eds but knew there were connections between glaucoma and eds. any info greatly appreciated :) x

ARREST-AF Substrate Study: Strong 'Medicine' vs Medication
Endothelial function (ADMA, ET-1), platelet function (PA to ADP, thrombin,
collagen
, and P-selectin), and inflammatory markers (hs-CRP, IL-6, MPO, BNP) decreased in the RF-management group but not in the control group.

LDN, collagen, and other alternatives
A week previous to starting the LDN, I began undenatured
collagen
(UC-II) at 10 mg. (I tried 40 mg, but I think it was too much.) I found a clinical trial (double-blind, double-dummy) comparing it to MTX in RA. In that trial, it helped. Not as much as MTX, but I'm not relying on UC-II alone.

Simultaneous delivery of highly diverse bioactive compounds from blend electrospun fibers for skin wound healing
Upon release, vitamin C maintained the ability to facilitate
collagen
I secretion by fibroblasts, EGF stimulated skin fibroblast proliferation and insulin potentiated adipogenic differentiation. Transgenic cell reporter assays confirmed the bioactivity of vitamin D3, T3 and hydrocortisone.
