staples coming out from the colectomy stump!

I had a colostomy due to CT scan showing holes in my colon and abscesses on the wall behind.

I began to have clear fluid leaking from the stump like a running faucet! I told the surgeon about it and he simply shrugged his shoulders and offered no advice.

The leaking fluid stopped for a month. Now I have colored stinky discharge. My GI says it sounds like I have a fistula. I made appointments to get another CT scan and to see another surgeon (advised by the first surgeon).

Today, I cleaned myself after using the bathroom and found 2 tiny surgical staples. I also read my radiology report on the hospital website and it said I had air in my bladder from a surgery implementation. To me, it sounds like the surgeon nicked my bladder. He didn't tell me about that!

I'm afraid that the stump is coming undone and developing a fistula.

Has anyone had this happen? Or can anyone offer any advice or opinion? Any help would be greatly appreciated because this is worrisome.
