Notes made and ready for appointment on Monday... Its a 2 hour drive and weather not looking good.
Feeling a bit shabby, lots of aches and pains, eyes gritty and well... just another RA day. A shower and lots of movement tends to help, along with Naproxen and possibly Co-codamol . I will back to smiley face and optimistic outlook in an hour or so. Happy Friday everyone, go softly through the day

Is Amitryptiline contra indicated with Pred?
Sadly, Co-codamol only worked for two nights. Then I remembered that I had been prescribed Ami with Morphine Sulphate when I had a herniated disc. It was still in date and for the last two nights I took it at 8pm , as I had done before , light off at 12MD and slept through until 9am. That may not

Taking two 30mg co-codamol pills permanently
I have chronic back pain, probably because of my long computer working hours. Long story short, I started to take co-codamol (30mg codeine + 500 mg paracetamol). I love it, not only does the pain disappear, but my miserable, painful, depressed, and tired day becomes the happiest day of my life, I feel

Anyone got any medications that helped? The pain is too much to bear now.
Hi Fibro forum. My name is debbie. I am 46 with crippling pain from fibro. I just had a hospital spell with covid on facial oxygen too but I'm better from that now. It's the fibro that's crushing my life. I have had fibro 28 months which is a short time compared to others but the pain is excruciating

Help for my pain please
Hi guys and gals I hope you are a safe and well (as you can be) I am looking for some advise on pain medication at present I take co-codamol 30/500 and Amitriptyline at night. For the most part this is not helping much. I’ve tried Tramadol before but I thought I’d been given a placebo as it didn’t

Circumcision 2 week update
After 3 years waiting for a circumcision for phimosis in Scotland I decided to go privately as the Covid Pandemic will only delay the op further. I had the operation 15 days ago. This is my experience as a 28year old. On 23rd Dec I had the procedure, nervous as hell! It was done by local anesthetic

Fibro and menopause symptoms

GI problems and RA ?
RA not under control. Had problems with Metoject Mtx as previously posted. I stopped all meds as I was feeling dreadful and needs to re-align. RA is flaring, but other than left hand and wrist, not dreadful. Yesterday, and in fact a few other times, had the most painful abdominal area, after it troubling

Pill causing more pain?
Hi all. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I started Cilique at the end of September and things were grand, apart from the mood swings and general low mood. Around 4 weeks ago I started spotting (I’m running the packs together as advised by my consultant) and since then the bleeding

PCOS pain
Hello people. For the past few years, since my last transvaginal ultrasound, I was diagnosed with PCOS. Everything has been fine up until recently. I do take the contraception pill as I suffered with SERIOUSLY heavy periods to a point where my blood levels would dangerous drop which is why I'm classified

I hate my GP - making me feel like a drug addict
Just came off the telephone with the third GP I have spoken to in the last few months. I asked her to prescribe me either Tramadol or Codeine as the only thing helping me at the minute is taking shop bought Co-codamol and Nurofen Plus. I have tried Pramipexole and also now on Gabapentin 900mg. She said

Pregabalin
Well, Pregabalin works for me; Ametryptaline didn't provide relief. I take 500mg Lyrica per day...but started with 100, and started to feel better. I also take co-codamol, as can't take naproxen...so, as other posts say, you have to trial different drugs.🙏👍best of luck.

Post head injury pain relief
Like most of us, I have more than "just" a head injury and as people like to say there is a lot wrong with me! One of the things that have been troubling me a lot over the last 18 months is my knees. After many, many years of taking brufen and co-codamol they aren't as effective as they used to be and

Heart Medication Side Effects
I had a heart attack and 3 stents fitted 5 months ago, and seems I have recovered quite well. Prior to this I had been on Atenolol, Pravastatin, and Ramipril for 20 years, and for 6 years suffered from perephial neuropathy, in lower legs and feet. I am now taking the above but Pravastatin replaced with
