Hello people.
For the past few years, since my last transvaginal ultrasound, I was diagnosed with PCOS. Everything has been fine up until recently. I do take the contraception pill as I suffered with SERIOUSLY heavy periods to a point where my blood levels would dangerous drop which is why I'm classified as slightly anemic. However, recently, I've been getting an increased amount of pain in both my ovaries specifically my left. The left is usually a sharp pain where as the right is usually dull and achy.
About 4 days ago prior to this post, I was in A&E with severe abdominal pains in my ovaries (and about a week ago I was treated for smptoms of thrush and given the pessary which worked for like 3 days then gave me immense ovary pain and had done since). Going back when I went to A&E, they did blood tests and a urine test which all came back as fine, nothing seemed wrong which was a relief. However, the doctor mentioned that my ovaries are being painful right now because they're twisting and untwisting which is why I'm getting a lot of pain. This pain has gotten so bad I've been in tears and that the doctor's have given me extremely strong co codamol to stop this until I have an ultrasound on the 17th December. However, the thing I'm most concerned about, is the random sharp, severe pain that randomly came on one night a few nights ago when I was laying down in bed on my phone. It came on for like a few minutes then disappeared and hasn't happened since. I rang the doctor's about it and she told me if I come down with a fever, be sick or have more extreme abdominal pain that the tablets don't help with to go back to A&E. But I'm just confused on what that severe sharp pain was. It just happened so suddenly and didn't last long I didn't even have enough time to question myself what it was.
Should I be worried about this?
