Hi all. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I started Cilique at the end of September and things were grand, apart from the mood swings and general low mood.
Around 4 weeks ago I started spotting (I’m running the packs together as advised by my consultant) and since then the bleeding has become heavier to the point now where it’s like my normal period. Throughout the 4 weeks I’ve been having cramps which have been getting worse and to top it off my endo pain has come back with a vengeance the past few days.
Has anyone else experienced this and is it just a case of letting my body get used to it? I spoke to a nurse in my gp clinic who prescribed me Tranexamic acid to stop the bleeding and told me to pop some ibuprofen! I’m already on a naproxen co-codamol cocktail!! I’m waiting to hear back from my consultant to see if he has any advice!
Any feedback would be very welcome, I’m at my wits end!!

Sadly some pills don't work for you, I don't see a point of continuing to suffer, see what your consultant says and maybe transfer to another. A friend was ok cilique and she had very bad side effects. Hope it gets sorted out soon x
Is that a progesterone only pill? I had a horrendous time on that if it is. Especially at first I had lots of cramping, periods every 2 weeks, spotting in between, I lasted nearly a year before it settled. I came off it just after as got the mirena coil but now having an awful time with that 😕
Hi, sorry to hear about this, I sympathise! I used to be on a similar combined pill, running it back to back, but I also got horrendous constant breakthrough bleeding after a couple of months. Now I'm on desogestrel instead (progesterone only) and it is so much better. I still bleed quite regularly, but it's really light and the pain is so much more manageable. Also oestrogen supposedly stimulates endometrial cells to grow, so my consultant says progesterone-only is a better pill for people with endometriosis.
Thank you all for your replies! It’s a combination pill and yes, I read that estrogen promotes endo growth which was why I was always confused about taking it! I’ve an appointment with my consultant on Tuesday to discuss options. He had previously recommended medical menopause so I might ask for that instead. I was reluctant to do so earlier but it might be the only way to stop the pain!
