Given all clear, still don't feel right?
HI all, a couple of times over the past 3 weeks ive awoken with a very sharp pain beneath my left rib-cage, sore enough to wake me from sleep. It only lasts a couple of seconds and it goes. Id be fit enough for a 40 year old, never smoked and go for a job 2-3 times a week., but last night i had to stop

How old are you ?
I was wondering how old other people with PMR are ? I was 52 when I first had symptoms, both my GP and Consultant say I am too young to have it - seem to have proved them wrong 😰 It did take five months to finally see the consultant and he has sent me for MRI scans, chest X-ray, hand X-ray and abdominal

Human Interaction
“Healthcare is about human to human interactions.” That was my most retweeted comment at the recent brilliant Stanford Medicine X conference I attended. For me it epitomises everything about my own healthcare journey and the journey of my company 11Health. The ability to build and maintain a relationship

Worrying X Ray Results
I was diagnosed with COPD three years ago and was called in to see my GP following a chest X-ray. Apparently it showed a shadow and I have been referred under the two week rule for hospital investigations. Needless to say I am very worried and wondered whether anyone else has had similar experience?

Asthma or Heart Problem
Hi, I just wondered if anyone on here has been diagnosed with Asthma when actually they have a heart problem. I have been diagnosed with exercise-induced asthma and have tried 4 different inhalers now - none seem to help get rid of my breathlessness or cough but my peak flow readings are fine. I have

SVT triggered by orgasm
Hi I am 44 years old and male. I had my first SVT just over a year ago. I ended up in A&E and the SVT lasted almost an hour - my heart rate was about 200 bpm at one point. I was very afraid I was having a heart attack. My heart rate went back to normal by itself, without any medication. All the tests

Yasmin and hives!
My GP's now given my prescription for
Cilest
. I was wondering if anyone has any experience of this pill? Bit confused as GP said unusual to have reaction as Yasmin is one of the more natural pills. Not sure whether to give it a bit longer or switch straight to

Copd/ Asthma
Hello I've been asthmatic for 40 years but have had a lot of infections in the past year. I've had a chest x ray which showed no problems. I am now booked in for a spirometery test in a fortnight. I've looked up symptoms and the first symptoms are said to be coughing in the morning and breathlessness

CT scan with contrast (NOT of thyroid though....)
Hello all (again) :o) After a 2 month wait following a chest X-ray showing a (hilar?) shadow, i went to the referred appointment with a Respiratory Consultant. I won't bore you with all the details (3 hours at the hospital and no real outcome) but as part of the - thorough, admittedly - tests, I did

Diagnosis Confirmed - Quick Question !!
I was diagnosed with RA mid August. My results showed a positive anti-CCP antibody with a titre of 50. Is this low/medium or high?! As such I have been put on Methotrexate 15mg once weekly Folic Acid 5mg 2 days after Methotrexate Hydroxychloroquine 200mg daily This feels slightly excessive to me

Utter Despair!
I'm sorry this is a very long first post! For the last 4 years I have been ill – my initial symptoms were feeling very tired and cold (mainly my feet and hands), a little breathless and headaches. I had some blood tests including thyroid and all was fine. My symptoms progressed and I had foot/ankle
