I have early stage CLL diagnosed about a year ago. I am a regular marathon runner and just a week ago ran my first 50 mile run. My hematologist told me not to change anything I was doing including my ultra running. So far I don’t think I have had any adverse effects from this passion of mine which is

Low triiodothyronine levels correlate with high B-type natriuretic peptide levels in patients with heart failure
An association between low T3 and cardiac disorders. They appear to very responsibly avoid unwarranted conclusions - which came first? - but at least the question is being asked. [i] • Open Access • Published: 08 November 2021

Waiting for diagnosis
Hello I'm 61 and haven't yet been diagnosed with CLL although my GP has suggested I have it. I'm waiting for my haematology appointment but have been triaged as on the 12 week list. That's all very well for them to say - they don't have to lie awake thinking about whether or not I have a blood cancer

Things I do to combat migraine.
Hi there, After reading on my news feed recently about a lady who suffers from migraine for up to six weeks at a time, I felt moved to write to the Migraine Trust, in the hope that sharing my own remedies and the preventative actions I have taken to avoid migraine myself, might help her and possibly

Mercury Pharma brand
Hi, does anyone else get headaches when they use this brand? I stopped taking it for a week and the migraines disappeared, but the day after starting the tablets again I got a 2 day migraine again. I've stopped taking the tablets and and no headache/migraine.

An unusual, potent antibody to SARS-CoV-2 variants is isolated from a recovered patient
Given time, ongoing mutation of the SARS-COV2 virus is likely to produce a super-lineage, at least as transmissible as the Delta variant and more resistant to current vaccines and monoclonal antibodies aimed at different targets in the receptor binding domain of the spike protein. A variety of candidate

***UPDATE***confirmed miscarriage at 21dpo
Today I had my Hcg done. It came back at a "wonderful" number of 3,4 iu/l from 130iu/l which was exactly 7 days ago. I found out it didn't had a chance in the first place. It failed to implant further, so my Hcg levels didn't even doubled in the first 48 hours. I'm still bleeding after about 36 hours

***Sensitive*** BFP that ended in miscarriage
After 2 IVF rounds. One failed and one that ended in 2 frozen embryos. We found out on Tuesday through a beta Hcg that I'm pregnant. Results coming with a hcg of 130 iu/l. My clinic wanted to see anything above 50iu/l. On Wednesday did a digital test that showed 2-3 meaning 4-5 weeks. Just on track,

Some CLL clinical trials insist that patients have multiple CT scans. Every test should have a reason.
