BFN after hcg
So my bloods were done today and after two hours the doctor informed us it was negative hcg level was at 2.9. I guess they failed to stick. We are gutted for now. Going to see the doctor on Wednesday to try and find a way forward. We hope to try a few more times before age really catches up with us.

My TMS Therapy journey update...
Hello all, I had my last treatment session this week, it was number 36 so I am finished with this round of treatment. I have a meeting scheduled in a couple weeks with the clinic doctor/director to review everything and see where I go from here. My survey results this week were 2 on the GAD-7 and 2

Durability of Ruxolitinib for PV, Dr V in Targeted Oncology interview
A few weeks ago there was some discussion on there was some discussion on her re the durability of Rux for PV. Below is a answer to that from Dr V in a interview with Targeted Oncolgy in Nov 2022 In polycythemia vera, ruxolitinib is valuable as a second-line choice when things don't go well with hydroxyurea

Does Covid boost ALS?
I'm W&W for 2 years. Abs lymphs (ALS) were 82K in July. Got 1st Evusheld 8/23. Got Covid 8/31 and started Paxlovid same day. 5 days later, 9/5, felt great then went on a vigorous 31 miles bike ride (probably too soon for such exercise). Then rebound on 9/12 with positive home test. Never got fever but

PUL any success stories??
I found out I was pregnant last week. However, during the week before I had woke up in the night with sharp pains. I thought it was because I was due on and the pains had gone the following morning. So once I found out I was pregnant I went to A&E for reassurance. They booked me in for a scan which I

BFN (sort of) Beta test HCG only 6 after two positive tests
I had really let myself get my hopes up after our only 3AB embryo was transferred last week. I had two positive pregnancy tests over the past 2 days and you know how it is.... I'd already worked out when my due date was and when I'd stop work for mat leave etc. Well I had my 9dp5dt blood test today and

BFP 9dp5dt but more faint line next evening
hi ladies, I know I shouldn’t have but I decided to test yesterday morning, as had a good feeling I would get a positive, following what I believe was implantation bleeding last Wednesday. My OTD is Wednesday (29th). The line indicating a positive result came up pretty much straight away and was very

Sensitive: is ectopic 'vanishingly rare' with IVF?
Thank you to everyone who has been so kind with their advice and checking in. I spent a long time at the EPU today with a pretty confusing outcome - the nurse who scanned me said there was a gestational sac but nothing else, and that my right ovary that she could see looked fine, no cysts etc. Definitely

A brief update post Venetoclax+Rituximab - treatment number 4
Many of you have been kind enough to ask about my current situation. For those not aware, briefly - I relapsed within days of stopping Ibrutinib (due to funding and end of the trial) which I had received as part of the FLAIR trial. I had 7cm nodes under my arms which had come up almost overnight

See a Dermatologist On a Regular Basis, if possible.
Once I was diagnosed with cll 8 years ago (in my mid-60’s), I was advised to see a dermatologist on a regular basis. I was lucky that my family physician’s partner is a dermatologist, so finding a dermatologist was easy. At least in Ontario, it is getting more and more difficult to find a dermatologist

Doctor cannot fully diagnose without bone marrow biopsy and PET scan?
Update Results: Hello i did have the cyclometery test done, but i didnt put it here before. Is thaat the same as a FISH test? Here are my results: An abnormal CD5-positive B cell population accounts for approximately 35% of lymphocytes and 13% of total events. This population shows kappa restriction

My TMS journey, another update...
Hello all, i'm down to two sessions a week and I had a relapse this last weekend and am bumbed about it to say the least. I'm not sure if it is due to the TMS but doubt it and I have an appointment Monday with the psychologist/clinic director on Monday to discuss it. I am also on TRT (testosterone

*update* Sensitive: HCG plateaued and clinic not offering any help
As everyone has been so supportive and helpful a quick but rather sad update: went for a private scan today and they couldn't see anything like a viable pregnancy - just a mass of what they called septations (no idea), possibly a haematoma and fluid. They couldn't see the tubes and only one ovary (with
