was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis and fibroid. Stayed on the waiting list for 2years. Finally had my robotic surgery done in May 2023 and was placed on zoladex for 6 months. Stopped my zoladex in October and period came back in December. Now planning to start trying for a baby. I will be turning 36 this July and hoping to have our bundle of joy in my belly by then. One of the worst side effects of zoladex I noticed was the joint pain even though I was placed on tibolone. Now the pain is gradually subsiding. The problem I have now is that my period is very heavy. This is the second period since after stopping zoladex and I changed pad up to 6x a day. I don’t know if this will improve over time. Made me so uncomfortable. Also, I wanted to know how soon you guys were successful with pregnancy after stopping zoladex?

I don't really have any advice on the bleeding because my periods were heavy before and after surgery it never changed. Is that normal for you? Good luck with ttc, I didn't take any medications, but I got lucky 2 months after surgery (2 periods in between). My doctor said not to wait longer than 6-12 months before ttc unmedicated. Wishing you luck xx

The heavy period is to do probably with the Endometriosis. Myself I was wearing pads and tampon at the same time. Sometimes I only lasted 20mins. You could feel it flood out and with painful clots. From the woman I've met you should be trying to have a pregnancy now. Once you stop the Zoladex the Endometriosis starts up again.

If you aren't intending to get pregnant now you need to be back on Zoladex.

When you had the Fibroids removed what did they say in suming up of the womb etc. Is it retroverted?

The doctor said everything was normal and I could start trying to get pregnant after coming off the Zoladex. I stopped zoladex in October but was on contraceptive from November to December. Just had my January bleed around 27th and hoping to see if there is a high chance of getting pregnant this month.

Well you are trying. That's good. Personally I would give it 6mths of trying. Then perhaps return to Zoladex before getting your partner checked out with his sperms activity. Then considering coming off Zoladex after 4 months. Try naturally a few mths then get on IVF course. Certainly stress doesn't help.

Take care
