Just a quick question.

Update and question about Olaparib

To Bone marrow biopsy or not to bone marrow biopsy that is the question.
Hi everyone, I’m not sure if this is the right forum. Previously it was thought I had pernicious anaemia (I’m in that forum too) but then they weren’t sure. I am on B12 injections (3 monthly but my levels of that are good at moment). I was referred to Haematologist last year due to low white blood cells

Dad's PSA now 1800..nothing works..Is this the end??
Hey all, It pains me to write this as I'm probably scared to hear the truth. I've posted a few times, but this time, it's different. Dad was in hospital for a spinal cord compression - new activity on c3, new mets to spine and PSA soaring to 1800. Those dreaded words, "all options have been exhausted

Sclerosis due to cancer or treatment?
I recently developed sclerosis in my left hip area...painful to sit on a hard surface. PSMA tech wrote 'sclerosis developed consistent with treatment'. Oncologist seems unconcerned. I've read that sclerosis can sometime happen when ADT reduces tumor size, which means the bone has to adjust. The recent

Next step options after lupron/zytiga failed
I have been on monthly Lupron for 7 years (starting in 2014) after the spread of prostate cancer to my bones following a prostatectomy in 2014. Lupron alone was very effective until December 2021. I then added Zytiga/Prednisone which had worked well. But current (June 2024) scans show substantial disease

Chronic cough and Enhertu
Have had mets to my lungs for eight years now and progression has been relatively slow with periods of stability. hello I have posted on here before, I was first diagnosing in 2020 Stage 3C. I had absolutely no idea on that day I was to be told this devastating news. The Consultant that day never even looked up from his papers and just continued to write. When I looked shocked he said you must have known of

Finished my 6th Docetaxil infusion a month ago. Didn't get the results I was looking for. Psma scan shows some gone, some smaller, nothing new. MO wants me to do 3 more. TA pointed out about diminishing returns on any more Infusions. Has me wondering if it's worth it. Mild NP and chemo legs have been

Lansoprazole
Anyone taking Lansoprazole as well as Levothyroxine? If so how do you take it? I always take Levo first thing on empty stomach but apparently that’s how you should take Lansoprazole. I have been told I need to take it as I am on daily aspirin and now chemo tablet daily. Anyone else could advise please

Not sure how to help/plan
Hi all, I'm not really sure what I'm looking for, but felt like typing this might somehow make something better. I'm late 30s, single, only child, single parent, no other family left alive. My mum was diagnosed with stage 4B ovarian last August. She's done chemo (CA 125 down to 6), and debulking.

Feeling worried
I've been on this journey for over 4 years now. I was diagnosed in 2020 with stage 4 OC. Had chemo then radical debulking more chemo. Then olaparib for just 2 yrs then it stopped working. Ca125 started to creep up ( lymph nodes ) so back to chemo which seemed to work but 5 months later its back. Told

Signifficant PSA LEVELS
I'm an 81 year old man who has had an enlarged prostate for several months. PSA tests levels 9.1 and 8.1 (several months apart). My Father died of prostate cancer, which had spread to other parts of his body. Follwing a Digital Anal test, my prostate was reported as "smoothly enlarged and sulcus palpable

And now this.
I’m waiting to start Carboplatin after Docetaxel was stopped. PARP inhibitor not indicated. The Oncologist is talking about non-standard treatment and I’m feeling like it’s the end of the road. In addition, I’ve been diagnosed with heart failure. Wonder if that is due to chemo 25 years ago for Hodgkins

Feeling lonely - first time posting
Hi all, Have been reading lots of helpful posts on here so thought I’d bite the bullet and share something also. My mum (71) was diagnosed with stage 3b ovarian cancer just after Christmas last year, she had a successful hysterectomy surgery end of Jan and then started chemo mid March. She also has

Secondary surgery
Hello I just had my CT scan and it shows some disease progression in the liver area where a small bit of tumour couldn’t be removed at initial surgery. My bloods are good and I’m really well. I’ve got a plan for Chemo. I’ve been reading about secondary surgery and chemo at first recurrence. Has anyone
