I’m waiting to start Carboplatin after Docetaxel was stopped. PARP inhibitor not indicated. The Oncologist is talking about non-standard treatment and I’m feeling like it’s the end of the road. In addition, I’ve been diagnosed with heart failure. Wonder if that is due to chemo 25 years ago for Hodgkins. I also have a spinal lesion that has resulted in a pathological fracture. I’m yet to get the full benefit for the heart failure treatment so I’m struggling to get my breath and cough non stop. I ache all over. I feel at the end of my endurance. My QOL is poor. Sorry to offload but I’m guessing that others of us may have been here.

I’m sorry to hear your unfortunate conditions. I’m in a similar boat in ways myself. Have been for some time physically, plus things can get pretty downer sometimes as well.

Of course I don’t know your particular details but clearly you aren’t comfortable and are bummed out. I’d suggest you relate this same exact post to your palliative care team. It’s their main job to see to your comfort and state of mind. They do that daily for all kinds of cancer patients, they are good at it.

About 67 ( ? ) months ago a table full of doctors threw open the gates of inpatient hospice and said it was my best ( only ? ) option. Myself I didn’t want to hear that and here I still am , all this time later. Now I know many here wouldn’t / couldn’t tolerate my daily life conditions but ….more or less … lil twinge here , bit of discomfort there ( rotflol ) I’m still having life QOL times with my wife and enjoying the little successes that come and go. The point being is that without my pallitive care team, I’d be living in unendurable hell. But they’ve looked after me and kept me comfortable….. I believe they could likely help you too brother.

Hang in there , you don’t sound “ all that “ from my perspective, a fluffing up by PC might send you out smiling again. Ready to use more of your time left for enjoying your possibilities for QOL. Sending out “ good vibes “ for you.

Just say’in

❤️❤️❤️

I hope that the heart meds kick in soon. I hope that once they start to work things will get better for you. Is LU177 feasible for you privately?
