Chemo pills
My husband started his radiation and chemo pills Monday. It is recommended to take the pills before bedtime. After taking the pills he won't go to bed. He's up all night, going outside....it's like a teverse effect. Has anyone ran into this? Any suggestions?

After finding out I had progression to my liver in July and acute side effects to Everolimus after only 6 weeks, I have been advised there is further progression to my liver. So I now face the dilemma of no treatment and at best 6 months, or choice of chemo. My oncologist has given me 3 options, oral

Dear Simon Foundation, I'm an old member of HU as a CLL type Leukaemia patient in the UK, but only just discovered your Simon foundation. Now I've always had poor bladder control and that could be due to bladder sensitivity, BPH, or damaged nerves in my lower back or all three, or more. I've gone through

PALB2 genetic defect-Lynparza
I have PALB2 genetic defect. Just completed six cycles of Taxotere as part of triple therapy (chemo, Nubeqa and ADT) for about 20 Mets (PSMA scan) mostly skeletal (no organs). Only four Mets still lit up on PSMA scan after four cycles of chemo/Lupron/Nubeqa. Next PSMA scan in Jan. 2024. Oncologist recommends

Eyebrows - what did you do for yours? (Vanity post)
Hi, wondering about your eyebrow journeys for anyone who lost some or all of yours while on chemo or other drugs? I’m 2 and a half weeks in from my first chemo treatment, and my hair started coming out in huge bunches a few days ago, so some family came over yesterday and took care of that - I’m fully

I am being cared for by an amazing team and after finishing 6 rounds of
chemotherapy
I had surgery on 24/4/23. Complete faith in my surgeon. At surgery they could not remove a 2cm area in my liver area due to bleeding and close proximity to a large blood vessel.

immunotherapy damaging kidneys
hi My mother has been having successful treatment for stage 3 lung cancer, but the immunotherapy has negatively affected her kidneys, so she is having steroids and they have said they cannot continue to offer the immunotherapy. We are awaiting a scan appointment & they may then discuss radiotherapy,

Treatment options
Hi- I have posted a few times about my brother who was diagnosed in March 2021. For 18 months he did really well on Abiterone. His PSA went from his initial diagnosis of 52 to under 0.03 for several months. He has Kaiser HMO and unfortunately his oncologist retired at the time his PSA starting trending

Interesting article about curing autoimmune diseases
You don't get to view very many free articles, but the Epoch Times had this to say about potentially curing autoimmune diseases. https://www.theepochtimes.com/health/can-autoimmune-disease-be-cured-scientists-say-we-may-be-close-5579207
