I will be starting the prep for my Bone Marrow Transplant (June 27) Friday. I have 5 days of chemo starting Friday this week, with a rest day before the BMT. Apprehension has been growing in me but it is balanced by others that have successfully made this journey. Also, my Drs. And team give an aura of confidence they will get me through this.
Another note to people going through other treatments I’ve had. Venetoclax worked well for me for some time. I did experience digestive distress and at times various bowel movement issues, diarrhea and smaller multiple times a day. Imodium would take care of diarrhea. I found a regiment of 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt (Faye 2 % fat) helped with digestive distress and the bowel movements. I’m not sure if this would help anyone else but it’s worth a try.
God bless everyone and good luck on your dealing with CLL.

I know that why I am asking. I have CLL and found out recently that I have MDS as well. I am 71 as well that told me about the BMT if I need it. They told me the same thing.
There are a lot of therapies/ treatments that are becoming available for CLL patients. The BMT is a last resort for me as I’ve exhausted other options. I am hoping you will be able to deal with your CLL with less radical treatment.
