First Post - Day 2
Good morning :) It's my second day smoke free, yesterday was tough but keeping busy really helped. I'm on day 11 of Champix which seems to help a lot, last Thursday I went most of the day without a cigarette which I put down to the Champix. I've been smoking around 15 a day for about 18 years now and

HELP! Rash
Me again So I am on day 4 of Champix and it is helping me cut down hugely before the big quit on Monday. I am now smoking maybe 5 a day compared with 15-20 last week 😱 However, I have noticed a rash on my hand. Like heat blisters come up in the last hour or so and I am becoming irashtional (see what

Hi I am new to this forum. I am on my umpteenth attempt at quitting. I have tried all the over the counter products but they (together with my lack of will power) have not worked for me. I went to the Dr yesterday and now I have my greasy little mitts on some Champix. I am not sure what to expect, but

Stopped on 2nd May
Hello, I'm new here and I feel a need to chat for support. Â I'm 62 and have smoked since 12 years old. I stopped 4 days ago. I'm using Champix, I had a bad time on the tablets a few years ago (they affected me nearer to the end of the course) and I had seriously bad road rage. I'm a placid and good natured

Coming off Champix - and advice/feedback
Well this is the longest I have ever managed to stay off nicotine and I'm happy to report easier breathing, concentration at work getting better, clearer skin, no yellow stains on fingers and of course not smelling like an ashtray. My question is I have two weeks left on champix but am starting to

HELP!!!
So it's been awhile and today I'm feeling so bad....all I want to do is go to the shop to get a box of fags and smoke one after the other. Last night I also felt this way but said no I'll get last this. I need ye're advice. My GP took holidays and never wrote me up for a repeat prescription for champix

Who Says Being A Quitter Is A Bad Thing?
For me it was the best thing that ever happened in my life. Â It has been 10 months ago driving the 400 km back from the doctor with a box of Champix in my pocket and a X-Ray in a brown envelope showing my poor lungs in a very bad shape after my 38 years of abusing them with toxins.....that is where

Free at last
Hi all, I started champix in January and stopped taking them last week. I haven't smoked for 9weeks and have no desire to smoke. I never believed I could do it, 45 years of smoking 20 plus a day, I sleep better, smokers cough has finally gone, I gained weight but can cope with that, please take courage

Bloating & Stomach Pain using Champix
I've been reading allot of these posts and thought maybe I could share my experience and what helped me. Â The stomach pain when I take the pills is really tough to deal with but I found eating a banana really helps. Eat halve the banana, Take the pill than finish the rest. It's the only thing that

Day 10
Hi all, wow the last 10 days have been eventful! Still smoking have cut down a lot but since taking the stronger tablets twice a day I feel revolting for the whole day. Not much of a mother if I can't get out of bed and when I do it's just to yell. I feel horrible all kinds of sh*t! Nausea, bloating

Help/advice needed re stopping smoking
I really need help to stop smoking please. I had signed up with the New Leaf team and was given patches but unfortunately when I used the patch I came out in an awful rash turns out am allergic to them even though I did tell them I was allergic to all kinds of plasters. I have also been told COPD sufferers
