A QUESTION ABOUT STOP SMOKING PILLS

Bet it's had related Wonder if it's the same company making them? I'm in champix and Pfizer makes them??
Most drugs have different names in US and UK don't know why they do that probably all the same thing tho. I haven't tried champix so I don't know much about it 😀👀
I knew that and forgot--it is just so close--and sounds stupid
Varenicline (trade name Chantix in the USA and Champix in Canada, Europe and other countries, marketed by Pfizer, usually in the form of varenicline tartrate), is a prescription medication used to treat nicotine addiction.
The difference in name is probably due to the bad publicity Chantix received - linked to increased suicidal ideations...but research later found out that there was no link.
A 2014 systematic review did not find evidence of an increased suicide risk. Other analyses have reached the same conclusion and found no increased risk of neuropsychiatric side effects with varenicline.
A 2013 Cochrane overview and network meta-analysis concluded that varenicline is the most effective medication for tobacco cessation and that smokers were nearly three times more likely to quit on varenicline than with placebo treatment. Varenicline was more efficacious than bupropion or NRT and as effective as combination NRT for tobacco smoking cessation.
