I am on Champix - not bad stuff - but for me it is constantly a mental fight. I did not want to quit - but my wife of 43 years got told she had to quit because
11 days on champix and 4 days smoke free.
Hi everyone.
You have all been amazing and helped me so much when I made the decision to start champix. Your experiences have helped me so much and I am so pleased after 40 years of smoking 20 a day I have no desire to touch another cigerette.
25 years of smoking. Day 5 of Champix.
So many attempts to stop smoking. Feeling anxious about this attempt.
Day 2 of no smoking
Hi All,
Just wanted to give an update on my progress so far :)
Im on day 14 of the Champix and day 3 now of no smoking.
I must be honest and say the Champix is definitely helping with the cravings. Im no longer craving the nasty sticks but the desire to want one is still there.
I think choosing to quit
8 weeks smoke free
Cant believe it's already been 8 weeks since my last cigarette. So proud of making it this far. I stopped taking Champix because I didn't find it was contributing anymore so I quit it a few weeks ago and have continued on without it. I have had cravings over the past couple of days but have stayed strong
40 days smoke free
Ive saved $553.00 according to my quit smoking app but I know it would be more than that. On the weekends when I was out and about and had the mornings to leisurely enjoy my coffee I'm sure I went through at least 2 packs instead of 1 a day. I also bought more coffee because nothing beats a coffee

Peppermint
For those who experience heartburn/nausea from champix you should give peppermint a try - candy, gum, tea or essential oil - inhale or rub a few drops on your stomach between your ribs....
35 years of smoking
I have tried numerous times and have yet to succeed permanently. I have smoked for 35 years give or take. I am taking champix to help me. I have taken it before and it did help, I quit for 8 months....and then I started again. 3 years ago I was diagnosed with RA so that should make me want to quit ..

Popping onto the forum every once and again I am amazed to see so many new quitters joining and want to wish them a successful journey but still see the frightening few relapses….

Champix-no smokes day 4
Hi people, I am 46 and on about my 3rd quit attempt after thinking I had succeeded last year with hypno I lit up after 3 months. Lesson learnt and will have not one puff this time around. I have BRCA1 mutation and plastic surgeon will not go ahead with preventative surgery unless I am a non smoker. I
One Year Anniversary :)
...And I never actually thought I would ever be here today! To say that I am proud is an understatement ... it's actually weird because it doesn't feel like a year at all, it feels like a couple of weeks ago.
Overall it's all positives:
- More money; no more cough; no more chest infections; no more throat
