Just had a smear test done which was painful compared to the previous years to check if I'm still hpv + #compleletedmymissionforthisweekend And before I left I tended to my grape and blueberry bush as therapic time to calm me down before hand

Cervix pain
Hi, I have a burning pain in my cervix area which sometimes radiates to my right leg. There is no unusual bleeding or discharge, and I'm not pregnant. I have an examination booked for next week and a smear test booked as well. I wanted to know if anyone else has experienced similar symptoms persistently

You've seen the platelets now here is the big mama clump
Usually you would not see a clump of this size on a blood smear. This happened because the smear was made via finger prick. But it gives you an idea of what it looks like when clots form.

Prolonged bleeding for 5 weeks, any advice?
I went on the mini pill just over a year ago. I took Cerazette for six months and had no periods at all, just some light spotting to start. I came off it and went back to having unbearably painful periods, after another six months I couldn't cope and decided it was best to go back on Cerazette. I am

Changes to cervical cancer screening
Hello! 👋 I’d be very grateful if you could sign & share my petition re changes to cervical screening in the UK! ‼️ Had my test been this year, they would have missed my CGIN and stage 1b1 adenocarcinoma, I’d have been sent away for 3 years and not survived much longer than that https://petition.parliament.uk

First post looking for help?
Hello, been back and forth to the doctor for 2/3 years changed doctor 3 times. Looking for advice. I’ve had extremely heavy periods sometimes lasting 2/3 months at a time then away for a few days and then back. (tmi) pads tend to need changed every 1/2 hours or will leak. The pain makes me sick and dizzy

Chronic Pelvic Pain - Experiences and Advice
Hi everyone! First time poster here. I was hoping some of you may be open to sharing your experiences, and any advice you have on the next step. My story: I'm 21, have been a registered nurse for 3 years, and I'm currently doing a graduate certificate that includes women's health. The reason for this

2 week referral for post menopausal bleed
Hello I am 56 years old and had a health scare last year following my first ever abnormal cervical screening. There was a discrepancy in my results so I was closely monitored by the hospital but then discharged in June. End of July to date post menopausal bleeding; referred by GP under 2 week rule for

Abnormal smear
So 12 years ago I was under colcoscopy for extreme changes for which I had treatment, back & forth over the years all seems to be ok? Recalled back in 3wks as results have come back as borderline changes ☹️

Abnormal smear
Hi, so I had a letter saying my smear showed I was hpv positive and they found I have borderline cells. I am quite lucky as they booked me in for Monday morning and I got both my letters yesterday, so not really very long to wait! Its also quite scary that they managed to fit me in so quick... I guess

Infuriating
it is rarely diagnosed hence the late discovery. This is a failure of generalists for whom it doesnt exist even female docs. An ultrasound should be as common as pap smears. Also there are few trials as opposed to breast cancer. So we are victims of close minded medecine . Now there are trials for

Completed another consolidation run yesterday...still hate love running
Am so, so pleased with myself. A couple of you know the struggle I have had with asthma and severe hayfever/sinuses. I, basically, am not built to run. However, I think it is one of the greatest achievements I have had is graduating from C25K. I am still very much at the mercy of the pollen gods, and

One step closer.... 🤞🏻
Hello 👋 So after the crazy horrible last few months of waiting and frustration, I’ve finally been told we can go ahead with our first FET 🙂. This is after it was nearly put on hold again because of a polyp found in my smear test last week, my clinic called me in on Friday morning though and removed
