Prolonged bleeding for 5 weeks, any advice?

I went on the mini pill just over a year ago. I took Cerazette for six months and had no periods at all, just some light spotting to start.

I came off it and went back to having unbearably painful periods, after another six months I couldn't cope and decided it was best to go back on Cerazette.

I am just finishing my first packet but I have now been bleeding for almost five weeks. Its more spotting but will get heavier for a couple days each week then seem like it's stopping and start up again. It's making me so anxious, five weeks is a really long time. I take the pill each day and try to be as regular as possible with the time. I am not sure what I should do? Get a doctors appointment? I'm not old enough to have a smear test (24) and I had an internal ultrasound two years ago that didn't reveal anything imminent although I suspect I have endo from the amount of pain I experience on an almost daily basis.

I am becoming really fearful and anxious for my health and its really starting to take a toll on me.

Does anyone have any advice on what I should do? I keep telling myself I am being dramatic.

I would definitely go back to your doctor ASAP.

I have been bleeding for 10 months now.

I take the pill continuously with no break. However I still bleed on the pill.

It’s terrible having to live like this, the pain, bleeding and the effects it has on you on a daily basis.

I am now getting endometrial ablation as j have adenomyosis and endometriosis. It’s meant to help with the bleeding.

I would be asking your doctor to refer you back to gynaecology.
