With my sister in Ireland after labs came back - please help with advice…
Hello everyone, I posted previously - briefly, my sister has had cognitive decline for about two years and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about four years ago. Her Levo has just been increased on 50 to 75 mcg. She is not on T3 or NDT. (I didn’t know about NDT until I came on this portal). She only

My echocardiogram showed a structurally normal heart. A bit of good news. Ct angiogram via NHS now booked by EP.
Thanks to everyone who has responded to my initial posts. I’ve been extremely stressed out and worried since my diagnosis of Afib. I have been down a dark Google rabbit hole and have been terrified of not only afib but by the prospect of other structural heart issues. In saying that the bravery and

Afib and eliquis
I was diagnosed with afib two years ago, one year into retirement. It's been an experience! Am currently on eliquis after not being able to tolerate pradaxa. So far so good... Have to be careful not to gain weight. Follow a 6/18 schedule.

Tachycardia andPV
Hello everyone Hope your all well 😊 I was wondering if there is anyone out there who has experienced rapid heart beat with PV. Over this year I have had numerous episodes of tachycardia and a few admissions to A and E with it. The A and E docs think it is probably superventricular tachycardia. Fortunately

Struggle: I keep remembering past bullying incident that has happened to me in the past
I sleep okay, and I wake up early in the morning. I go on about my day doing my thing okay: dishwashing, vacuuming, laundry, driving, shopping, meeting people, going to church, etc.. But when I am reading and studying which I think is something I want to do more of to be a better person, in the beginning

Persistent Afib
Thank you all for your encouraging replies to my post yesterday. Yes unless I have something wrong with me or I over exercise my heart rate does not go above 100. The only worrying concern is the Kardia readings which consistently show a variation of between 2.5 and 6.5 squares in one reading. If you

I’m not moving far but she isn’t gonna be just upstairs if i need her :/… I’ve just started using
CBD
oil (all legal) as it helps a few family friends with their aches and pains. I have noticed a difference but it’s not a big enough difference.

Update on symptoms unrelated to PMR on low dose Prednisolone.
I posted a few weeks ago that I was suffering from fatigue, abdominal pain, low pulse rate and blood pressure on 2mgs of Prednisolone but no PMR pain. (Commenced Pred in May 2020 for PMR} I went to see a very understanding GP, new to the surgery, who was extremely helpful and definitely more sympathetic

Does anyone have experience of using a cpap machine to remove CO2 in someone who has servere COPD? My husband has just been told he must wear one at least every night as his oxygen levels are low and he is retaining CO2. He us trying it but finding it impossible to sleep and is not too keen to continue

Hi all, I thought I'd ask as this is very topical at the moment, especially for the immunosuppressed. Does anyone have any comments on this?

Age, cycling (ebikes) and afib.
Interesting article in one of my subscriptions...about how ebikes have made a difference in the lives of cyclists (like me) who are past their *best before date* on 2 wheels lol. One of the guys has afib, so thought I'd share; "The benefits of riding an electric bike also rang true in our chat with

Still only 1 and 1 only AFIB reading since Oct, 2020
Only one finding of afib since October 2020. I bought a Kardia immediately after and check myself about 25 times a week. 73 years old and all is good. Moving forward to November of 2022, my cardio doc believes I should still take the miserable Eliquis twice daily. Eliquis pretty much makes my life a

P -Afib. Doctornow wanting to prescribe lopemide
I've had P-Afib for a few years now well managed with a calcium blocker SR Verapamil. Due to an unrelated condition another specialist has recommended Lopermide 2mg 3×s per day up to 5xs per day. I'm not keen to take it like this long termly as I see irregular heart beat & palpitations is linked to this
