'The War on Terror' brought about 'The War on mTBI'
The signature injury from the 'War on Terror' is mTBI (concussion, PCS). So many soldiers got mTBI and the powers that be realized conventional mainstream diagnostics and treatment were of no use for rehabilitation. The private sector was brought in to try and solve the problem (this is all in the US

Hello everyone. My husband has recently been diagnosed with RA related Interstitial Lung Disease and is very short of breath but not on oxygen. At rest his O2 sat is mid 90s, sometimes higher. It drops with exertion but quickly recovers. We walk 1 to 2 miles a day. When I tried to add this condition

pace and ablate and the rationale of doing it
I’m due to have a pace and ablate done Pace maker on the 21 st of December Followed at some point by the ablate the reason behind this action is so I can come of drugs and my legs swelling will ease or disappear but I don’t suffer from AF other than odd tiredness and swollen legs ( made worse

Cardiotoxicity in patients treated with acalabrutinib
The latest edition of the journal Blood has two articles that highlight the issue of cardiotoxicity in patients treated with acalabrutinib. The cardiotoxicity of ibrutinib has been well recorded but the situation with the newer BTK inhibitor, acalabrutinib, has been less clear. In the first article

Pressure on center of back as in lying down or sitting against the back of a chair etc.
I have been diagnosed with AF and have a pace maker. Recently i have found it uncomfortable to put pressure on center of back and it brings on palpitations and short breath and an irregular rythm.I have an emay portable ECG . I could send a printout.

B12 deficient - just wanted to share
Hi all, I just wanted to share my story as I've had so many thoughts and concerns rattling around my head these past couple of weeks that I don't know if I'm coming or going. I have had occasional heart palpitations since at least late spring, but didn't really think much of it until a month ago when

Pain is killing me
Hi, I had a quadruple heart bypass just before my 51st birthday 4 years ago, I have since been left with nerve damage in my torso. They said it would have happened from an underlying issue ok. Then just over a year ago I had womb cancer and had a total hysterectomy but now with my nerve damage I am in

It was all going so well......
I had my ablation at the end of August and all went well. After 4 weeks, in agreement with the EP and my arrhythmia nurse, I stopped my 1.25 dose of bisoprolol and felt SO much better. Heart rate was quite fast but in NSR. Last Thursday AF reappeared - a brief visit and mild symptoms but most unwelcome

Interatrial Septal Aneurysm (ASA) - anyone with knowledge or experience of this condition or relevant recent research?
I am 75, with 2 years of paroxysmal AF, and looking again at my first Echocardiogram I had in May 2022, I notice there was a finding of an "interatrial septal aneurysm". This finding was mentioned almost in passing, without further emphasis or mention in the Report's Conclusions. However, while such

Can medication be reduced after a certain time with no problems?
In 2012 I had a heart attack which resulted in the insertion of a stent, fortunately prompt treatment meant there was no major damage to my heart, although I started getting AF attacks in 2016. In 2017 I started taking 100mg of Flecainide and this was successful in stopping my AF attacks. In 2020 I
