Can anyone tell me if I can continue to take CBD oil with levothyrozine meds.
They help me with anxiety and aches and pains.
Not contacted my doctor yet, thought I'd get advice from other people who might be taking it.
Many thanks

This is a link and I hope it's helpful:-
cfah.org/cbd-and-levothyrox...
Just read the link as I too am interested in CBD but I did find this link a bit one sided it seems to me to be saying that CDB is for the treatment of Hypothyroidism ? and is an alternative to thyroxine ?
i agree , shaws that CBD link seems a bit ??? to me.
It is definitely sailing far too close to suggesting you can choose to replace levothyroxine with CBD. I haven't read all their references just now (they do at least give some .... so it will be interesting to read them at some point ) ..... but Cannabis either whole (THC + CBD) or just the CBD part alone , definitely does NOT replace the need for Levothyoxine ( even though it can obviously help with many of the symptoms of... everything)
cbdclinicals.com/cbd-thyroi... this one looks a bit better shaws .... i think it might be more factually accurate and less potentially misleading than the one you gave earlier... ( which seems to be a shortened 'translation' of this one)
Welcome to the forum
How long have you been taking levothyroxine and when do you take your levothyroxine
Levothyroxine is an extremely fussy replacement hormone. It must be taken on empty stomach and then nothing apart from water for at least 2 hours after
How much levothyroxine are you currently taking
Anxiety is common hypothyroid symptom, suggests possibly you aren’t on high enough dose
Do you have any recent thyroid results you can add
For FULL thyroid test you need TSH, Ft4 and Ft3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested at least once
ALWAYS Test thyroid levels early morning, ideally before 9am and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
ESSENTIAL to regularly retest vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
On levothyroxine we need OPTIMAL vitamin levels
Low vitamins are extremely common
Low vitamin D often causes joint pain
Have you had thyroid antibodies and vitamins tested
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins

I'm not aware of any reason not to. Lots of people do. Levothyroxine isn't a 'drug', but a replacement hormone. My thinking is that if you took it before starting on levothyroxine and found it beneficial, there's no reason not to continue if you wish to.

Realistically, I doubt your doctor will have anything useful to say about this. CBD isn't something most GPs know much about.
I have been taking a small amount of CBD oil for the last few weeks. (Not for thyroid issues at all!)
It seems to help a bit and I have not noticed any interaction. But it is easy to miss issues when reporting as a solitary individual!
HiI take my levo on waking, so well before any caffeine & I take a couple of drops of CBD oil about an hour before bed. I have only been taking the CBD oil for about 6 weeks as it was recommended to help with sleep & hooray it does. No more lying awake for 2 hours or waking in the middle of the night.
hi there, was curious how u have managed and if u are taking CBD. I am also interested in taking it but like u was worried about interactions with my levo meds
