AF after Catheter Ablation
I am now four months on from my Ablation after AF as high as 180 Bpm. Things are settling down now with heart rate of around 60-70 Bpm. The only thing that kicks it off now is a couple of pints of beer two or three days together. Have overcome this by having couple of pints of bitter shandy when I go

Dizzynes
Noone seems to mention dizzyness. I can tolorate the bumping and intermittant breathlessness but this dizzyness and feeling off balance whenever i walk is awful. A real struggle. A feeling of a severe hangover without the alcohol. How do you cope? I'm beginning to wonder if its worth it. After going

I have been on the rollercoaster ride of afib since 2004. I was at work and went into cardiac arrest. It took four people doing CPR for 28 minutes to revive me. Since then I have gone through 5 defibrillators and four ablations. I did have seven years when I it was controlled really well with Rythmol

Hello all I'm due to have this procedure next week for really heavy horrible periods. However, this was never offered to me, I actually asked for it as someone I know has had it done and said it was great. The problem is, the gynaecologist has never given me any info on the procedure I have had to find

Hybrid Ablation
Second part, normal
catheter
ablation
is due in about ten weeks. For anyone interested, these are the notes I made each day. Ablation day – 1 Hospital admission. I met Ian, my cycling club secretary in the waiting room, he was in for a heart valve replacement.

Hello, I had cardiac ablation on April 20th. I had a follow up appointment with Dr S 10 to 15 days after, and all was pretty good. I later had an appointment with Dr. I had so many complaints during that appointment that she admitted me into the hospital to confirm all is well. It was confirmed my

New here. My Story and Why I Stopped Worrying Quite So Much. Also, One Question.
Hello. I'm new. I hope you don't find this writing too long. I just wanted to share my experience and ask a question at the end. I went to emergency in January 2017, feeling so weak I could barely move from one chair to the next. I was admitted immediately and, after many tests, diagnosed with Afib

GOOD NEWS
It is now three months since I underwent cardiac ablation for A Fib and A Flutter (the full English you might say) . The procedure wasn't as straightforward as the EP would have liked but I survived and, as far as I can tell , I have been in NSR ever since. I really am enjoying getting back to a degree

My Catheter Ablation Experience
I had decided to go for the PVI
Catheter
Ablation
procedure and was put on a 10 month waiting list to have the procedure done under my preferred surgeon. That day came 4 days ago. I wouldn't say I was nervous on the day but aware of what might go wrong and accepted the risks. My surgeon was Dr.

Hybrid Ablation
with the
catheter
ablation
3 months later. I am very pleased with this, except for the requirement to be on amiodarone for the three months between the procedures.

3 days after Catheter Ablation - Yikes!
I feel actually pretty good except when I lie down to sleep. I can't breathe very well. This is new. I can walk and when I'm up breathing is ok, but at night I haven't slept in 2 days. Feels like small breathing space, have to effort to breathe in over and over. I know I need to rest, and that makes

New research into AF
“We have learned a lot in the last 20 years and we have tools in hand such as medication and
catheter
ablation
to treat these electrical changes, but we need to go one step beforehand to understand why someone with a certain genetic predisposition develops AF.

Persistent Atril Fibrillation. Left Ventricular Impairment with Decompensated Heart Failure. Hypertension
I am a 74 yr old female with above problems. I am taking Warfarin, Bisoprolol, Digoxin, Candesartan, Atorvastatin & Furosemide. My first cardioversion lasted for 20 months but my second only a few hours. I had to wait so long for an outpatient follow up appointment I paid for a private consultation with

Post ablation fatigue
Just had a rf
catheter
ablation
for wpw and svt about 3 weeks ago, doc said it was successful and went very well and he believed I was done. Usually procedures last last 2-6 hours but mine only lasted about and hour and a half from what my partner said. It was a good experience overall.
