AV Node Ablation
Hi, I posted last week about having a pacemaker fitted 5 weeks ago and my lack of progress since then. On Wednesday I attended the PM clinic, seems all the activity I can feel is AF which has been almost constant since having the PM fitted, plus some twitching which those with PM will understand. I then

Has anybody here had a pace and ablate?
Has anybody here had AV node ablation aka 'pace and ablate' (as opposed to 'cateheter' ablation)? If so and you don't mind telling, did it improve your symptoms of afib and to what extent? Has the pacemaker affected your life? Thank you.

Cardiac Ablation
So, after having a reveal device fitted I was told I'd not have to see my cardiologist unless something was picked up.......that day came and I saw him last week. Since having the reveal device fitted (for racing HR and palpitations) my heart has "paused" twice, once for 4 seconds and once for 9 seconds

Svt’s and Afib
I had cardiac ablation March 2018. Two week heart monitor showed some Svt’s and some Afib. On medication and blood thinner. What heart medicine do you take to control Svt’s? I have had multaq, tioksen, amiodarone, flecainide. I now am on metropolol, fosinopril, and eliquis. I have read on this

Absolutely speechless
So I had my consultation for surgery yesterday. On my last consultation my other gyno said that if I wanted the chance of having kids surgery was the route to go down. I had the consultation with the Dr who will be performing the surgery yesterday and he handed me a leaflet about endometrial ablation

Problems following endometrial ablation/sterilisation
I underwent an endometrial ablation and sterilisation back in Sept 2015 and have have niggling issues since. I have recently had a scan that has now found fibroids and fluid and they have placed me on an urgent referral to see a consultant, should i be worried?

Bisoprolol
Hi there, I was diagnosed earlier this year with SVT (a form of arrythmia) and have tried having the cardiac Ablation procedure which unfortunately did not work. Cardioversion
Hello, I am in AF constantly and have been like this for 4 weeks. I was admitted to hospital when it started and my heart was racing at 160 bpm. I commenced Bisoprolol 7.5mgs and although still in AV, beats now at 80-90. I am booked for Cardioversion in two weeks and when I attended my pre admission

Pacemaker
Hi,Havent posted for a few months after my af took a sudden downturn. It was quite a puzzle because I could go 2/3 weeks with no problem then my heart would go haywire for 2/3 days then quiet again. My EP said in late July we will leave it a couple of months see how you go. He thought a PM was the way

Sharp back pain
Hi All: I have my
catheter
ablation
surgery May 1st. June 1st I tried to mildly exercise but experienced sharp back pain and a heavy chest. Okay. Just a month..maybe too soon. I tried again on July 1st and had the same thing. It was an even milder workout than before.

B complex, folate, iron (getting cofactors in order)
Questions for the hive mind. Have been on 3 monthly b12 jabs for a few years now. (I was 109 pmol/L at diagnosis) And despite initial positive response to the first few loading jabs, since then (on quarterly injections) I have gotten steadily worse. More fatigue. Neuropathy. Mental fog etc. One thing

AV node ablation failure?
Hi I’m new here also. I have PAF, and SSS, I had a pacemaker put in 6 years ago. Meds do not work well for me. 2 months ago I had an AV node ablation. It seems to have failed. I’m still getting Afib generated V tach and other atrial pacing. Anyone else have a failed AV node ablation?

HF and pacemaker
Hi I was diagnosed with HF (with an EF of 25%) and LVSD late last year which is thought to be a consequence of a high ectopic burden. I had an ablation a couple of months ago but it was not successful in stopping the ectopics. I am now awaiting a biventricular pacemaker and subsequent AV node ablation

Negligible Afib (if any at all) after doing these 2 things...
A couple of years ago I had a
catheter
ablation
which was 70% successful in eliminating my Afib, which was great but slightly disappointing too. After 6 months my cardiologist said it was unlikely that it would improve further.
