That's Training Scuppered :(
Apologies for anyone squeamish. I am in the IC with a sodding horse fly bite. Antihistamines not worked, nor anthesan cream so got hydrocortisone cream to try but pharmacist said elevation as well. Does anyone know anything else which works? Plus can anyone recommend a good repellent as the normal stuff

Found something
So I've decided to try some short term mind training to help with my anxiety. Essential oils and guess what so far so good. I'm truly impressed. And trust I'm one of those types where if I'm in the middle of a attack nothing works.

Here we go again....
I had a g.p. appt last Tuesday (17th July) to discuss the possibility of my having B12 Deficiency, or PA. I took along with me, some paperwork that listed quite a few of the symptoms that I myself am experiencing. After relaying everything that I thought important, including low normal B12, 263ng/

Does anyone else remember this?
I was taking my daily fish oil capsule this morning when my husband mentioned that his cousin actually used to chew hers when they were given them daily as children. That suddenly brought back memories of National Dried Milk and Welfare orange juice and cod liver oil. Can any older carers, or indeed

I have been losing weight over the past 4 months, from 167 to 123. I have been anemic for years, and in rhe beginning of this 4 months, the symptoms were vague and i thought it was the flu. Doc said i had extremely low iron and vitamin B12 deficiency. as well as vitamin D. I am on all of these still

Difficulty getting to sleep because of wheezing, awaking to gasps and coughing, unable to walk round the supermarket without frequent stops, declining social invitations through fear of having an embarrassing attack, you know the thing... I have tried gulping down cough-syrup, and even bought a diffuser

B12 in Multivitamin
Hi all, I was diagnosed with PA & Celiac Disease last October after being sick for more than 6 years. 4 of which I could barely put one foot in front of the other let alone remember why I was trying in the 1st place. Every doctor I saw immediately prescribed antidepressants, (which I refused to take

Balancing th1 and th2
I’ve been reading Dr. K’s book, “Why do I still have Thyroid Symptoms when my Lab Tests are Normal,” and in this book he talks about finding which TH you are dominant in and supporting the other so they are balanced. He also mentions vitamin D and Omega fish oil that neutrally supports the immune system

Any success with the Keto Diet for IBS?
In a bid to lose some weight and battle the bloating feeling I've been getting on a daily basis, I thought I'd give the Keto Diet a go. I have previously completed the FODMAP elimination and reintroduction diet under the direction of a clinical dietician, so have identified my main trigger foods as being

Advice welcome
I have just been diagnosed with autoimmune gastritis. I have had gastrointestinal problems for years, since the age of 18, and I am now 44. Just before the gastritis diagnoses I asked my GP for a B12 test as I had heard that it could be connected to stomach issues, and I had just found out my dad has

Essential oils
Hello. Just wondering if anyone has used any essential oils while going thru treatment with Ibrance and letrozole. I have been using painaway for the muscle pain in my neck from the enlarged lymph nodes and it seems to help. So I was wondering if anyone was using them to acutually help treat the cancer

Anecdotes of cures
Is anyone aware of any anecdotes of cures for PA? All over the internet there are stories of people curing cancer through juice diets etc. There are also plenty of people claiming to have cured their autoimmune disease through diet. But you don't really see anything about anyone curing PA. And by

Intrinsic Factor vs Parietal Cell Antibodies
If a person tested positive for the intrinsic factor antibody but negative to the parietal cell antibody, would that mean that the parietal cells in the stomach are not under attack, only the intrinsic factor that those cells produce? And would that mean that the stomach might be still producing acid

Next taper
Today I taper to 9.5 from 10. (Had to phone doctor yesterday as I realised one box of 28 X 1mgs was going to disappear rather quickly....a different doctor to my usual has given me the max number of boxes plus more 5's and thrown in a box of 2.5 - result!) Good news is my tinnitus has disappeared! Friends
