B12 deficiency
Hi, I’m new on here and hoped for some advice. I’ve had low levels of vitamin B12 for years and I’m really struggling to get my GP to help. Each time my blood is tested it comes back low (latest result 148 ref range 200- 883). My GP then always tests my parietal cells and intrinsic factor which always

RELIEF FOUND
Hi everyone, This is my own case story. I amazingly found relief to my pain, but have fewer medical problems than many of the people on this site: I am 44 years of age, have always had excruciating periods since the age of 12 years (more painful than labor contractions), and have been through 2 c-sections

Normal levels for intrinsic factor antibody?
Hi, I was told a couple of weeks ago that despite having a normal b12 ( approx300, I had been taking oral B12) I had pernicious anaemia. My intrinsic factor is 2.1 which has caused a great deal of confusion, one Dr said that it was positive and on the blood result form did state abnormal, however all

Anti coagulation
Both of my sons and 4 of my sisters have been diagnosed with a blood clotting disorder and are all on warfarin. I have never been tested for this missing factor 5 but take turmeric, fish oil and vitamin C to prevent clotting. I am 60 years old and have never had a blood clot. I put my health in God's

Parietal cell test negative so intrinsic factor not tested??
Hello lovely people, I think I buried this question in my last (apologies way too long!!) post (thanks for the helpful replies to the post though!!). Does anybody know whether if the parietal cell test comes back negative that means it is unnecessary to test for IF?? Apparently the lab refused to test

Positive ANA and history of tests.
Hello, I want to provide a clear history of facts. Last December, I experienced joint pain, my hands were burning for no reason, and my joints were cracking. I felt really run down as well. I ordered my GP (where I had to pay for private referral to rheumy...) to send me there and test me for Sjogren's

Essential oils for tremors
My main symptom is tremor which as is widely known is the most difficult symptom to control. Inspired by a post on this forum, I recently started using the essential oils Vetiver and Helichrysum, mostly at night, and they actually seem to be helpful. I have no previous experience with essential oils

Morning Anxiety
I woke up feeling anxious. I start a new job Tuesday and just feel nervous and a little anxious about it. Change is not easy for me. My anxiety is worse in the mornings. I meditate and use essential oils.

Fish Oil - Little Benefit
There was a news item on the BBC (I cannot post link on my dumb phone) that said researchers had found there was no real evidence that fish oil was beneficial to the heart. Indeed it was taken off prescription years ago. There does, however, seem to be benefits to general health from Omega 3 if not specifically

PA when IFA and PCA test results are negative
Hi All, I commented on a recent thread that I thought some people had PA even when Intrinsic Factor Antibody test and Parietal Cell Antibody test results were both negative. I speculated that this could be due to an immunoglobulin deficiency leading to inability to produce certain antibodies. I've now

Treatment for low Vitamin B12 88ng/L and low serum folate
Hi, new to this forum however just looking for some advice regarding my recent discovery of low B12 88ng/L and Serum Folate 3.0 ug/L (both classed as "abnormal" on my GP test results). All other bloods normal. Symptoms starting roughly 2 years ago experienced increasing weakness/lack of energy and motivation

Hello All After having a bout of viral arthritis which never really ‘clear up’ my GP sent me to get my bloods done to get for rheumatoid factor and a couple of other inflammatory markers (forgive me I can’t remember what they were called) Anyway, my results have been ‘lost in transit’ so had to have
