punch drunk and off time
I have never come across ‘punch drunk’ as a symptom of Pd, yet I do experience it and 2 posts in this group have recently mentioned it. Typically, if I miss or forget a dose (I take rytary 4x per day and 1 dose of Amantadine for dyskinesia, I suffer from many of the typical pd symptoms such as speech

Phase 2 trial of VG081821 to ease motor symptoms fully enrolled
“VG081821 is to be used as monotherapy for improving movements in early-to-mid stage of PD [Parkinson’s disease]. Later on, as the disease progresses, it can be used in combination with low doses of L-Dopa [levodopa],” said Sanxing Sun, Vimgreen’s president and CEO. “This L-dopa sparing effect may minimize

My positive experience with B1 Therapy
I started the B1 therapy in October 2023 (was diagnosed with YOPD in February 2023) following the protocol written on the book “Parkinson’s and the B1 Therapy” by Daphne Bryan. For the past 10 months, it has been helping me controlling symptoms such as extreme tiredness, lack of balance, dystonia, rigidity

DBS cancelled due to improvement of UDPRS measurement
Hello all, I am new here and wanted to share my story. In Feb. 2018, my left foot started to drag and for many years before my left arm would not swing. I probably had this symptom for years and considered it my normal way of walking. It has been 7 years with increasing dosages of levodopa. Throughout

Hello I posted previously about Mum having a wearing off period between her levodopa doses and I am no minded that she may need her blood pressure tablets upped. She also has another UTI which will obviously be impacting things. She seems too weak to pick her arms up to feed herself and give herself

Genetics results: Anyone with AOA4 in UK?
Hi, After many years without a diagnosis, I finally got Whole Gene Sequencing done myself (with Nebula Genomics). In my data I screened ~1300+ neurology genes, but only found three Ataxia-causing gene candidates needing more tests for confirmation. I repeated the test, exposed some glitches and false

Mucuna and carbidopa alone?
I will be starting to experiment with 1 NOW brand Mucuna capsule, and carbidopa alone. I am not taking Sinemet yet, as I’m trying to take a more natural approach. Has anyone taken this combo, and if so, could you please give me any ideas of dosages of carbidopa to take with one mucuna capsule? (Or Parts

Biotin and cold exposure are complete no brainers.
I haven’t posted in a while. I hope everyone is good. I limit myself because I believe for me, PD became an obsession. I forgot how to live. Many of you know I said b2 was a no brainer. Read my previous posts. Scientists in Japan found that PD patients have messed up guts that inhibit the absorption

Early levodopa initiation in Parkinsons does neither postpone nor accelerate mortality or PD-related complications, nor does it precipitate earlier occurrence of PD-related complications or mortality https://movementdisorders.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/mdc3.14174

another iron infusion? and low ALT level
Hello, dear RLS friends! I would really appreciate your advice regarding my mother's ferritin levels. So she is currently on 0.375 mg (some days up to 0.5 mg) and 900 mg neurontin. I know DAs are not optimal, but at this point it would really be a problem to withdraw, especially that mom did start with
