Carbidopa / Levodopa

Anyone taking Nourianz and Gocovori together with Carbidopa /Levodopa? I am following this regimen which has been largely benign. Just wanted to know if anyone else has experiences to share.

Diagnosed in 2022, late onset at age 75 with slight symptoms before. Slightly dragging my left foot and unable to run was alarming and led me to get checked out. A recommended DATSCAN REVEALED a Dopamine shortage but not severe. Very slight additional symptoms. Doc recommended a very low dose initially

Just got home after a neurologist appointment where he suggested I start taking DAs because he thinks I am on too much Carbidopa/Levodopa. I declined.

What do you do when carbidopa-levodopa "off" times get inconsistent, more frequent, or it seems the C/L didn't work at all? I get extremely uncomfortable, uncoordinated and so incredibly weak.Thank you!

Has anyone tried Crexont? Supposed to be better than Rytary 🤔 My doctor has prescribed it for me but still awaiting insurance authorization. https://crexont.com/

I was diagnosed with PD since 4 years and I take Mucuna capsules, Carbidopa Levodopa 4x daily and my neurologist recently added Entacapone to my regimen but nothing has helped this nasty symptom. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Maddie

Hi all, I’m 7 years post diagnosis and about 5 years into Carbidopa Levodopa medication. I am fortunate that I don’t need c/l to sleep so I generally don’t take any meds after dinner.

Earlier this month, the FDA approved Amneal Pharmaceuticals’ investigational agent IPX203, an oral formulation of carbidopa/levodopa (CD/LD) extended-release capsules, as a treatment for patients with Parkinson disease (PD).

My doctor finally relaized I was in the red zone and has since perscribed me several different medicines, including Carbidopa/Levodopa, Pramipexole (1mg) and Pregabalin (3x75mg) and Trazadone to sleep.

To begin, at a young age, 22 yrs ago I was diagnosed with Parkinson's and given Sinement, carbidopa/ levodopa. Struggled through the years, but was able to maintain, had my girl, had 3 beautiful children, ran my business, bought our home, invested in properties, life was GOOD!

I’ve been taking carbidopa/levodopa for 2 years. Helped so much but I believe augmentation is kicking in. Where before I had to take 1 to relieve symptoms, it now takes 2. Very depressing. I was watching a YouTube video on castor oil and how many health benefits it has.

I have stopped using Neupro patches, but still have to take 3 x 100 mg Levodopa/Carbidopa because I also have Parkinson. For the first time I took 100 mg Gabapentin at 8 pm. It made me feel dazed. I went to bed at 11 pm. My legs didn't realy feel calm.

They are: Ropinirole Baclofen Carbidopa/Levodopa Clonazepam Gabapentin Tizanidine I do excerise, I have been in physical therapy for left knee replacement Feb, March and 1/ 2 of April and then again in June and still in physical therapy for my 2nd right knee replacement.

I am having a problem trying to find the right dose of Carbidopa/Levodopa 25/100.

I've been put on Carbidopa-Levodopa to replace the dopamine I'm not making, I learned. There was relief in just getting a diagnosis. I was afraid it was MS, and apparently, I would have been better off if it was.

She started me on carbidopa-levodopa, and it is my third day. I'm happy to say I don't know anyone with this disease and though I have looked at some reputable sites; Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic I want to know more.

My Movement Disorder doctor is on vacation and I noticed that I only have 1 Carbidopa/Levodopa Extended Release 50 mg/200 mg tablet left. For many years I have always taken 1 such pill before bed to get me through the night since it's extended release.

dyskinesia compared with immediate-release levodopa/carbidopa (IR-LD/CD) at week 12.

A friend with infrequent rls says carbidopa levodopa works almost instantly when symtoms began. Because I mays go several days without rls, I would rather have a med that I can take as needed rather than taking a med daily when most days I don't need it. Is this too good to be true?
