Mucuna and carbidopa alone?

I will be starting to experiment with 1 NOW brand Mucuna capsule, and carbidopa alone. I am not taking Sinemet yet, as I’m trying to take a more natural approach. Has anyone taken this combo, and if so, could you please give me any ideas of dosages of carbidopa to take with one mucuna capsule? (Or Parts of a carbidopa tablet? ) Each tablet of carbidopa is 25 mg. I’ve heard from one HU participant, that she takes a very small amount (1/4th of a carbidopa tablet ) I would appreciate any other’s experiences !

Hi - I tried the Now Mucuna while I was taking Sinament & mucuna at the same time and it increased my Dyskinesia drastically. If you do the Mucuna on its own - I did you will notice that there is no consistency from capsule to capsule -- Just my experience

4 part mucuna to 1 part carbidopa.I'm going to try the same thing and have an approval with my Dr.

At the moment I'm seeing a DO that wants me to wait before I start so can go through a detoxification of any possible chemicals that could have contributed to my PD.

I am wondering how you are able to get carbidopa? I am in the UK and asked my husband's neurologist on Monday if he could try it with the mucuna caps he takes but it is not apparently available here only in combination with L-Dopa

If you can find an open minded Dr. it helps. I got the prescription through my family Dr. who is a DO. In the US you can get Carbidopa in 25 mg. I quartered it. I wonder if you could do Telehealth with a US Dr. and order it 🤔

how are you getting carbidopa by itself? I tried doing this but my doctor refused to give me a prescription. Can you order it online?

I made a deal with my MDS telling him that if I wasn’t satisfied with this trial,, that I would start using Sinemet. I sold him on the fact that the mucuna plant seems to have additional medicinal properties. Carbidopa does require a prescription.

Unless you are taking Mucuna raw seed powder, everything else is processed and indistinguishable from the base chemical composition of Sinemet 😂🤗
