Heat helps with RLS
And I decided to try another natural remedy for pain called "
capsaicin
" in the form of a patch. I've had some luck with applying heat pads to my quads in the past but nowhere near complete relief. I would get the chemical pads and tape them to my legs and get heat for about 3 hours.

Interesting about capsaicin!
I have mentioned a YouTube video several times in which Dr. Klotz shows a chart of a patient's PSA history who had hormone resistant prostate cancer. The patient stabilized his PSA by dosing himself 3X daily with hot sauce. When the patient "got off the sauce" his PSA began rising again on the same trajectory

Big toe, big problem
My rheumatologist prescribed
Capsaicin
cream, but it's out of stock everywhere. Does anyone know of a very temporary miracle cure that will reduce the pain just for one day. It sounds daft...

Capsaicin cream- a cautionary tale
My rheumatologist suggested that I try
capsaicin
cream so when I was awoken in the small hours this morning, I thought I'd give it a try.

If you are using PSA to monitor your cancer, you may want to avoid curcumin (and some other supplements)
Patients should be wary of taking it and other supplements including genistein (a soy isoflavone), EGCG (green tea), resveratrol (grapes),
capsaicin
(chili peppers), saw palmetto, pygeum, and beta-sitosterol that may artificially change PSA readings.

AKM Shamsuddin, MD, Ph.D. (Univ. of MD Medical School) invests decades in cancer research and gets results
I take a large number of supplements, the most important being European milk thistle, curcumin-turmeric, berberine (Metformin equivalent), red yeast (Lovastatin equivalent), quercetin,
capsaicin
, alpha-lipoic acid, and green tea extract. I should add I became a strict vegan in late summer 2017.
