My urine
calcium
is also low. I keep getting intermittent joint paint mostly in my wrists and wondered if I need a dexa scan and if GPs can send me for one without waiting to see the consultant please? Many thanks.

How quickly will 5mg daily Actenol reverse osteopenia and by how much?
For the last 12 months since that test, to try get my numbers up, I: - did brisk walking 50kms/week - Took vitamin D and K supplements daily to help absorb
calcium
- Drank 3 large decaffeinated coffees per day to get milk/
calcium
.

Anyone diagnosed with Esophageal Spasms?
Currently keeping them somewhat in check with the
calcium
channel blocker Diltiazem. Wondering if anyone else has this diagnosis and what they are doing about it? Thanks. Jim

I'm wondering what is the best (and/or simplest) method of calculating the amount of
calcium

Thankyou for adding me to this site.
Back in the UK was told 'We don't do that' so only
calcium
tablets. Well 6 fractures later and an inch shorter. Found out that you should NEVER just stop Prolia injections as it can lead to compound fractures of the spine. Having IBS just compounds my problem.

Thyroid cancer, hypothyroidism and kidney function
I’m starting to develop a salt craving which I seem to need in addition to
calcium
, phosphorus and other electrolytes or else I swell, develop severe headache and feel very agitated and ill.

Blood tests show normal levels of
calcium
, should I now take extra given the pred.? Also how much Vit D and K vit, reading through I have managed to get confused. Today decided not to take AA until I have a dexa scan, which many on here have advised.

Blood test results
Pathology investigation report on the blood test suggests undertreatment/ malabsorption/ lack of adherence to treatment/
calcium
or iron supplements or coeliac disease. I have been taking as instructed and don't take any supplements. Would the next logical increase be to 50mcg? Thanks

Now if I need an occasional medication for the stomach, I take plain licorice(I have low blood pressure) and
calcium

T3 and magnesium / electrolyte supplements: I messed up, but is it just the supplements to blame?
Or have members found that magnesium,
calcium
etc does indeed have a massive impact on T3 absorption? Or would such supplements only make a slight difference? Any thoughts gratefully appreciated.

UPDATE: RLS, magnesium, calcium and hard water
So this leads me to wonder if my condition is fundamentally a
calcium
-magnesium balance issue - for whatever reason (genetic? kidney issues?). That for me, living an a hard-water area means I'm taking in more
calcium
than my body can cope with. Maybe for many others too...
