Alendronic Acid
It has been recommended that I take Alendronic Acid to protect my bones whilst taking Prednisone as I now have Osteoporosis. To be honest given the potential horrendous side effects of Alendronic Acid which on top of those of taking Prednisone and of course the impact of having GCA I am reluctant to

Comments On Blood Test Results Please
I don't post very often but I read a lot on here, and after having a Blue Horizon full thyroid blood test, I would be interested in the thoughts of anyone on what came out of it. I had radioactive iodine some years ago and am on levothyroxine (100mg). My results from the GP always come back as 'normal

calcium levels
I have been reading that a blood test for calcium is not accurate, it does not show how much calcium is in your bones, so how do you know if you need a calcium supplement and that too much calcium is not good.

Feeling grim after hospital stay for AF episode - advice please!
Had particularly tenacious episode of AF which failed to respond to my usual Flecainide PIP. This led to hospital over the weekend. After a somewhat lengthy process I eventually returned to sinus rhythm with the help of more flecainide, more Bisoprolol and a new one for me, IV magnesium. I was discharged

Hi 👋,After 5 weeks of feeling amazing after my cardioversion, no breathlessness, loads of energy and zero chest pain I was absolutely gobsmacked on Wednesday when at my post cv check up I was told I was back in AF ! I had been monitoring my HR and it was around 52 so it literally must have happened

Cirrhosis or PBC ?
THE SHORT STORY My husband was recently diagnosed with F4 Cirrhosis. Began as NAFLD (not from drinking). Short story is that he's had high cholesterol maybe all his life, but it was noticed during a High School football check-up. That was 40-some years ago! He totally forgot about it until a doctor

Numbers Through The Roof!
The doctors are stumped. We are bummed. Here we are, nearing retirement age, and all we want for Christmas is his good health back! My husband (age 58) is not a diabetic. He is not overweight. Never has been. He has only ever been an occasional social drinker. When I say occasional I mean maybe 2 or
