I’m in the US and see an integrative health MD who oversees supplements and some tests, in addition to a GP and rheumatologist. Have PMR/GCA. I haven’t tried coated pred—(change of doctors, pandemic problems, long story). Have had acid reflux for months, waking me at nite, etc and been taking

AF meds and Valium
Hi all, don't remember asking this first because I'm super worry but, please, anybody has been prescribed Valium when on Digoxin, Flecainide, Sotalol? It appears to relax me and have better sleep, and I only have it some time. I don't think it affects me as it does to others. The Cardiologist prescribed

Dilitiazem and Heartburn
Hi, I was taking lowest dosage last 1.5 years of this CCB and no problem at 120mg. Have been taking 180 mg for a couple months and now have heartburn which I suspect started after gastritis flare up. Dilitiazem is supposed to be the least likely of the calcium channel blockers to relaxt the LES and

Letter rather than a phone call about a lesion found
I'm in a bit of a state of bad anxiety about a letter from my endo doc. It came 2 weeks after a thyroid ultrasound and stated they had found a lesion posterior to the left lobe and would be referring me for a SPECT scan. Its now been a week since I received the letter and still not heard anything I have

How do you lower the calcium in blood?
Hi, Please advise on how to lower the calcium. It came a little high in the blood test. The value should be between 8.7-10.2. Mine came to 10.4 for the result. I know I need to cut down dairy items, but besides this any other things?

Help with results
Hello everyone, I would be grateful if your help with my results. I didn't put my fatigue, feeling cold, brain fog, neuropathy down to my hypothyroidism initially but instead to pernicious anaemia, for which I had my B12 injections stopped over lockdown and iron deficiency. My TSH was 3.0 in February

If not Albutrix then what?
I'm considering giving this very low (veg) protein diet + keto supplement a whirl to see whether it has an effect on the numbers. Lee Hull has his keto supplement Albutrix with the selling point being its low calcium as well as low nitrogen. But it doesn't appear to be cheap at $179 a month. Then again

Undiagnosed and positive ANA
I joined in 2013 with a positive ANA Test 1:80 Nucleolar pattern suggesting schleroderma. I had follow up tests and no diagnosis. I’ve had 3 failed Endoscopes, as I woke up from sedation grabbing the camera, so Gastro has never found out, why I choke when eating, barium swallow confirmed GERD, I have

I’m new and I struggle to sleep
Hi I have severe sleep problems which have got worse. I am really trying to look after my health but struggling to know what to do. I was told I had a fatty liver after an ultrasound 9 years ago and told not to worry because lots of people had it ( I was having a check to make sure I didn’t have a gall

Parathyroid Adenoma
Does anyone here have any experience with this? During an ultrasound of my thyroid an incidental finding of a small lesion was found which the doc says suggests parathyroid adenoma. My calcium levels were slightly low and then normal on my recent bloods.

Coronary vasospasm - palpitations at night
I was diagnosed with coronary vasospasm in hospital following a cardiac arrest at home in January this year. I was put on lots of medication including statins, calcium channel blocker, nitrates, aspirin etc. I had been doing well since February with no real symptoms but woke up last night with palpitations

Supplements
Does anyone take added supplements alongside their medication? I am still being diagnosed but the consensus seems to be I have angina and am on Propranolol (originally for migraine prevention before my diagnosis) and Atorvastatin, just been reduced from 80mg to 20mg, as well as low dose aspirin and

New member osteoporosis questions
I recently posted re Alendronic Acid and have received some helpful replies. So encouraged by that I am here with further questions. I was diagnosed around 3 years ago with "mild" osteoporosis. Calcium supplements
About a week ago Mrs Nails put up a wonderfully clear and informative post ,about Alendronic Acid. (Mrs Nails, your work is so much appreciated.) I was very interested to note she says supplements of calcium and Vit D are to be taken AS WELL AS bisphosphonate, if you have osteoporosis, which I do ( lowest
