It's a
calcium
carbonate
and vitamin D3 chewable obtained under prescription. However it does come with side effects. I am already taking Vitamin d tablets along with calcium from the local health shop daily and wondered what others were doing.

DEXA dilemma
Morning all. I posted my recent DEXA experience on Sheffield Jane’s thread the other day, but thought my own thread might be helpful. Briefly, i was due to have my 2nd DEXA scan in May at the local NHS hospital. Covid19 happened, I didn’t get an appointment. Understandable, but disappointed as have

Quick Soda Bread
First time making soda bread today, wanted to try because it takes 5 mins to mix, 30 mins to bake, and only has four ingredients (Organic stoneground Wholemeal flour, buttermilk, bicarbonate of soda, and salt) You are supposed to wait till it is fully cooled before slicing but we couldn’t wait, hungry

Heart Monitor Implant Advice Please
I would be very grateful for any advice on having a heart monitor implant. I had a telephone consultation with the cardiac consultant today and he asked for my consent to book me in for this procedure, he fully understood when I asked for a few days to think about this and discuss with family members

Calcium supplementation
I currently take 300mg of Magnesium Glycinate in the evening to help me sleep. I take Vit D and vit K2 Mk-7 except for the summer months when I make sure I get some sunshine. However, I do not take any calcium and as I am currently following an anti-inflammatory diet I am avoiding most dairy and eggs

This meme gave me a chuckle this morning and how true it is. I have 2 toilet paper destroyers. 😂😂 Decided today is a good day to have a good day, so I’ve decided to take charge and take advantage of it when I wake up feeling okay. Feeling okay is much better than I was yesterday. 😁 Thanks to everyone

The immune system: Knocked off balance.
Instead of protecting us, the immune system can sometimes go awry, as in the case of autoimmune diseases and allergies. An LMU team has dissected how mast cells regulate their calcium levels to keep the immune response under control. The immune system defends us against attack by viruses and bacteria

Coronary calcium scoring
Can someone help me out here cause I’m struggling to understand? I have read that the higher the calcium score on CT angiogram the more calcium plaque you have 0 = low chance of developing heart attack 11-100 mild plaque 100-400 moderate plaque 400+ severe plaque With this being the case then how come

TSH Suppression
Latest test results and they actually did all of them this time, much to my amazement. TSH 0.02 mU/L (0.20-4.5mU/L) Free T4 24.3 pmol/L (11.00-22.00 pmol/L) Free T3 5.1 pmol/L 3. (10-6.80 pmol/L) TSH suppression is about where it has been for some years and the surgeon is reasonably happy with that

Parathyroid
Hi everyone Ive seen a number of posts from people with parathyroid problems and felt I had to comment. Thyroid and parathyroid are entirely different things, para simply means next too and its a calcium disorder. A thyroid doctor is not the doctor for this, it is endocrinology but its as different
