I've managed to e-mail the endo to ask how she wants me to have the second dose hopefully she will put me on 40 micrograms if she does can I split that in 2 to 10s..🤔
Thanks for that advice greygoose ♥️do you know anything of calcium levels because my calcium has been intermittently rising endo said last test showed a rise and had a high spike in july/Aug last year with a trip to hospital with blood in urine they said I had passed a stone.. My calcium this time was 2.6..unsure what this means.. ♥️♥️
No not taking supplements.. But in 2004 I was diagnosed with hyperparathiyroidism.. The endo just said if my next test is elevated it will need investigation but I've had 3 elevated already.. I know that any rise in calcium should be investigated.. She is however taking a 24hour urine test I've to pick the bottle up tomorrow 😢
Well, as I said, I don't know much about it. But, I thought that it was calcitonin from the thyroid that kept calcium levels down. Parathyroids kept it up. But, surely parathyroids are an easy thing to test? It's just a blood test, isn't it? I think you might be better off starting a new thread with this question. Make sure you give it a title that will catch the eye of those that know about it, like "Causes of high calcium?" or something like that.
And yes it's just a blood test that's how I was diagnosed in 2004...but my endo just keeps saying I have intermittent raised calcium levels.. I will start a new thread thanks.. ♥️
Thanks for that post slowdragon ♥️ so I must be leaving to long a gap between me taking the T3 and my blood tests.. When I've got the bottle it says take one tablet daily... I take as it says on my tablets... 🙄 I'm splitting it now... Just heard from GPS receptionist they want more bloods done... 🙄
Most medics have no idea how you should take T3 generally, or when in day you should test
Thyroid patients on T3 have learnt it’s important to test as early as possible in morning before eating or drinking anything other than water and last half or third of daily dose T3 at 8-12 hours before test
