Endo Bloating
hello ! I had my surgery just over a week ago, removed a lot and I’m finally up and walking semi-normally. I have a bloating question, I just bloat on and off now post surgery. They fitted the hormonal coil to help with the endo, not sure if the bloating could be due to this settling ? I wonder

HCG levels - unsure
Hi all, After a 4 year fertility journey (inc 5 losses) we were so lucky to welcome our daughter in 2023. After feeling a bit nauseous a few weeks ago, I took a test to find out I was pregnant again. We’re still in absolute shock and I’m just waiting for it to go wrong - can’t shake the previous trauma

RSV Vaccine
I am due to have the RSV vaccine tomorrow at my GP surgery - at my insistence as my GP says he knows nothing about it. I am a little wary as this is a new vaccine and with CLL we are not supposed to have live vaccines. I am trying to research as much as I can but as this is a new area am wondering

Covid vaccine booster
I’ve had AF for around 5 years - virtually symptom free. I’ve been sent a text from my surgery asking me to book an appointment for my autumn Covid jab. I’ve had them all up to now but given various horror stories I’ve heard I’m not sure whether to have this one or not. Any thoughts, anyone?

Aortic valve and root surgery
In about 40 mins my partner will be having surgery to replace his aortic root and valve. This is the third replacement of his aortic valve and I am scared beyond belief. He is in Barts hospital, one of the best but the risks are so much higher for a third op. Its going to take over 6 hours, what a long

Hospital Visit, So Fun!
I was in the hospital, but I am home now. Thankfully I didn’t need to have surgery, as I suspected I would. That was a big win. I was put on medication for the problem and hopefully it will be resolved soon. I hope everyone here is transitioning into autumn as well as you can. I know that I love the

Blood test results - assuming Hypo?
Hello this is my first time posting on here. I was diagnosed with Hashimotos due to high antibodies probably 10ish years ago. I've had hypo symptoms in all that time but have never been medicated as my GP insists everything has been normal. I've been having recurring vertigo recently and at an ENT

Hi, further to my first post a few days ago, I’ve received the below report from my mri with contrast. has anyone else suffered a mild TBI and also had a large cyst with the below findings? I’m worried if I risk surgery I will only see minor improvement due to TBI or could be hopeful removing the

Covid & Flu jab together?
I tend to react really badly to all vaccinations, usually needing 1-2 days in bed. Apart from the general jab side effects, they also cause my asthma to flare up. I've just had my letter asking me to go for my covid and flu jabs and when I rang to make an appointment, I was told that I

Hello I am posting in the hope that it might help some of you…. I live in the UK and was diagnosed with HGSOC grade 4 in Jan 22. I have never been NED. I received first line chemo + Avastin, interval, suboptimal surgery then commenced Olaparib. Avastin continued for the permitted time and Olaparib

Race for Recipients
Organ Donation is a subject very dear to me because my niece is a SNOD (Specialist Nurse Organ Donation) at The Royal in Wolverhampton. Her job is to support the families of potential organ donors from the point of bereavement until surgery for the recipient. She is a woman who I admire for her dedication

Endo/ Laparoscopy and C-section/preganancy
hi all, I have recently had an MRI that shows possible endo on/near my uterus. My consultant is pushing for a lap, but I am unsure whether to postpone this as we would like to start TTC in the new year. I’m concerned that having the lap before could throw my cycle out of wack (although very painful

Hi could someone please give some advice on my recent test results from medicheck? For comparison I have added my thyroid results taken via my GP surgery last December, result was TSH 0.40 M/IU/L (0.27-4.2). I have started to feel quite out of sorts e.g over heated, low energy, headaches so had a blood

Help finding cardiologist - Bradycardia - West Herts NHS Trust (Will travel for good private Consultant)
Long story short..finally got GP to look at low bp (been low for 20 years but..) I asked for a different GP after being told time and time again 'some people have low heart rate!!). I've know somethings been wrong over past 18months. Electrocardiogram showed 'slow heart' and bp drop lying to to standing
