Asthma Flare up - when will it end! It
How long will this last?! I’ve had asthma since I was a child with no treatment for 15 years! Then a couple of years ago I had an attack but since then it’s been very well managed. Usually just with preventer inhaler and no need for my reliver. This was until last week, where a cold quickly turned to

Operations and asthma
My little girl is in need of an operation in the next few weeks and the anxiety of it all is making her asthma bad. She had a routine check today and the nurse thought it very unlikely they will operate with her chest as it is! How can I break this cycle as she really needs this op. She says she’s not

Air Purifiers
Wondering whether I should buy air purifier / fan for my bedroom? Does anyone have any advice / experience? I am aware asthma UK does not endorse them as not enough research has been done to date! As I am having such a rough time with my asthma I am willing to try anything now!

Describing what it is like to have asthma?
Hello everyone I really hope you are all ok. It's been a really challenging summer with the high temperature and humidity. I know from a previous post that alot of you are struggling at the moment and I am with you on that one, I think that the weather has made asthma unpredictable this then makes it

Working with bouts of severe asthma
Has anyone found a legit way to work from home and make a reasonable living when asthma flares make it impossible to go to work for long soans of time. This makes independent living impossible. Any thoughts on housing?

Asthma?
I was diagnostic with lung infection and took 12 days of antibiotics (5 days amoxicilin 7 days clarithromycin) the mucus did go away, I've never had fever or felt tired. After this the only thing that I feel is a wheezing when I take deep breaths. The doctor told me to try inhalers a brown one for prevention

Hyperthyroidism and asthma
Anyone have hyperthyroidism and asthma? I’ve had hyperthyroidism but pretty normal with medication for years and suddenly this year had acute asthma attack and couldn’t breathe. I think I either got it from exposure to mold, a stomach virus or maybe hyperthyroidism. Anyway I’m on qvar and spiriva but

Getting the correct treatment for asthma .
Hi all hope your all enjoying the weather. As a chronic asthmatic at times I had really bad asthma attacks ending up in hospital. I was given medication and still had asthma attacks . Until 1dsy I decided I had to get this under control. I did have to ask on a number of occasions to see a chest consultant

Do I even have asthma
Hi guys. I'm hoping to find someone with a similar experience to myself. I suffer with pretty bad allergies and take a lot of medication to manage this, including the use of Montelukast (Singulair) to control the allergic wheeze (asthma). As my allergies stand, all seems to be ok and well managed for

Outcome of my consultant appointment
I have been waiting for my appointment to see the consultant at my local hospital and the day finally arrived on Wednesday. It was his last appointment and he looked tired but gave me his full attention. He was kind, listened to my questions and professional. There was a 5 point plan put into place
