Stopping Spiriva
Hi everyone I hoping someone has some advice! At my last asthma review last year I was told to reduce my inhalers ( stop Spiriva but continue with ventolin & to drop down to 1 puff instead of 2 puffs twice a os symbicort) she said, because my asthma was stable and no infections or problems. It has taken

Hi guys, Very new to this and keen to get a view from those with similar experiences. I was diagnosed with asthma when wasaround 8/9 years old, but never had any symptoms until around a year or so ago (I'm 29 now). About a year or so back I experienced chest tightness etc and GP said it was my asthma

Pain in cannula site after chemo
Hi, Iāve just had my first carbo/taxol chemo session yesterday. The cannula was causing me some pain in my right hand but the nurse flushed the site. It then began swelling after 2 and half hours so they removed it and put a new cannula in the left hand. Iāve been up during the night as the pain in

Recently diagnosed with 'possible allergy related' asthma and hoping to get some answers
I was just doagnosed with possible asthma. I have no history nor know anything about Asthma management or symptoms. If anyone could answer some basic questions id be super thankful. Is this normal for asthma: that I feel like there's something stuck in my throat like phlem but it won't clear. I wheeze

Chesty all the time and everyday
I'm 44 with asthma, and I am constantly at doctors with my chest infection and always coughing I've just had my 1st week of no asthma attack as I've had one every week for the past 6 weeks. Take care and for those that set you off with the weather please be careful as its meant to get hot and the hotter

Pollen, symbicort Smart and ventolin
Any help or advice would be really very much appreciated as I don't know what to do for the best. Briefly I have mild asthma. I say mild as it has gone undiagnosed for years. Diagnosed 2 years ago amongst recurring pneumonia. Because of the pneumonia I am on Symbicort Smart regime. I have never had

Perfumes in hospital
Hello all, I thought I'd share my recent hospital experience. I had to go into hospital last week as an emergency and ended up having surgery (not related to asthma). However, managing a hospital environment is very difficult. My top recommendation is to be forearmed with information about your needs

Flying with severe asthma
Hi - I have an amazing chance to go for a very exciting (for me) day out but to get there I would have to take a short flight on my own. I havenāt flown recently at all and my last few flights have been tricky for my asthma. Since then my asthma has got much worse and Iāve been reacting to more and more

Virus triggers asthma like symptoms?
Hi. Iām wondering if anyone knows someone or has gotten asthma like symptoms from a virus that went away after the virus went away? I read one article online that it happened to someone and was wondering how often it happens.

Weird chest infections- anyone else? How long do they last?
Anyone else get odd chest infections that don't have any of the typical symptoms other than setting off asthma? Had a bit of a farce in A and E on Saturday after 4 days of asthma getting worse. They said it wasn't asthma (because I don't present typically) but freaked out over the high HR I get with

Refused Salbutamol
Hi I have had quite bad asthma since being a toddler and also have life threatening allergies for which I carry an epi pen. My current medication for asthma is seretide and salbutamol. I have regularly attended hospital to be placed on a nebuliser and courses of steroid tablets. Last year my GP practice
