Heat and asthma not a good combination

Hi folks

I’m new to this page, how are you’s all dealing with the heat and your asthma. I have been ill for over a week now with a chest infection and my asthma so been on antibiotics and steroids all week and been stuck in the house as the heat is making it worse. So had a few down days, counting the days until my next injections for my asthma to see if it will help.

This heat is definitely affecting my asthma and hay fever.

Yes, everyone keeps saying hope you're enjoying the summer. Before asthma I did enjoy it, loved summer but now with dry heat and high pollen I feel like saying "Bah, humbug...."!

Open the windows to cool off and then close them and put air filter on to get rid of pollen. I think a pool in an air conditioned room with no heavy chemicals would be heavenly.....

Now that sounds like heave at the minute something I could so do with.

I used to be great with the heat then my asthma just got worse and when I got hot that was it. I used to love the sun and my holidays but now the heat kills me.

Thank you hun I have multiple allergies with my medication for my asthma and this heat is not doing us asthmatic any favours.

Hi,

Sorry that the heat is affecting your asthma. I actually thrive in the heat and have an enormous heating bill in winter as the slightest bit of cold air sets off my asthma. Is it dry heat or humid heat that exacerbates the asthma? I must admit I don't like really humid weather.

I used to be like that then all of a sudden my asthma got worse then the heat set it off I used to be the first one out in the sun and the last one in but now I’m most suck in the house when it’s to hot. On the other hand I do love seeing it sunny outside so enjoy the warm weather as we don’t have it that often
