Alcohol and Severe Asthma
Hi, I have severe asthma and in the last year or so I have had increasing problems with alcohol (particularly wine) giving me exacerbated asthma symptoms. I heard that some wines have higher levels of sulfites which can given some people symptoms. Sometimes it effects me really quickly and sometimes

'Insanity' workout and eosinophilic asthma?
Hi all, so I have severe eosinophilic asthma - I take a lot of meds to control it and am awaiting possible biologics once covid is over with. I have been shielding for 7-8 weeks now and I'm starting to worry how much lack of exercise I am getting. I didn't do a lot before and only have an office job.

Couch to 5K, anyone?
I have mild chronic asthma and hay fever. I’m 68 and overweight. I’ve just signed up to Couch to 5K and did my first ‘run’ yesterday. It was hard and I cheated a bit at the end. Am I a fool to give this a go in my state of health? Anyone else with asthma done this?

Hi everybody I was interested to see if anybody had any idea of how to eat a controlled diet with a stoma. [Edited by moderator] Greens I’m unable to eat with my stoma but I’m thinking maybe I could make a smoothie of some sort to help? Does anybody have any other advice of what I may be able to eat

Too little sleep can mean more asthma attacks in adults.
A good night’s sleep is crucial to good health. A new article in Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the scientific journal of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI) reveals that too little sleep, and occasionally too much sleep, can negatively impact adults with asthma.

Worries with corona and asthma!
Hello! I am hoping to get some advice. I am 25 years old and I would rate my asthma as being mild, I never really use my blue inhaler. When I was younger my asthma was much worse as I did not keep on top of taking my preventer, I would suffer with chest infections and general breathlessness. Now however

Dehydration and asthma
I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about dehydration and worsening of asthma symptoms? I have the bad habit of not drinking much, if at all, during the day. Some days I drink maybe two glasses of water. Trying to be more healthy, and working on drinking more. I have noticed my asthma symptoms

Recent weather affecting asthma/
Hello all, I am new to this forum so hi there and apologies for the perhaps longer post. I am interested to know if this very high pollen in the UK (highest for 70 years apparently) has had an impact on their asthma, more than normal hayfever? For me, my asthma has got significantly worse over the last

Colostomy due to Ovarian Cancer
Has anyone had to get an ostomy because of a tumor? If so how long did you have it? Was it permanent or reversed? Are you done with treatment?
