Thanks everyone for helping me put the liver mets into perspective. My Oncologist said it was a change in treatment and I did well on Ibrance for 22 months and should do well on my new treatment. Good news after scan
Good evening or good morning for some 😊 I've been on Exemestane and Everolimus from February 24, and had PET/ CT this week. Good news no new mets — no progression. Decreased activity in most tumors overall scan is much better than 4 months ago 😊 Ca15.3 down from 108 (2/7/2020) to 43 (5/20/2020),

About to start Chemotherapy
This past two months have been a bit of a whirlwind. I had a routine mammogram on March 9th, just before they stopped doing them. I was recalled on April 1st. By April 22nd I was in hospital having a masectomy and June 1st I am starting Chemotherapy. In the middle of this I had my 70th Birthday and Covid19

What are your thoughts about bed rest during 2WW
Hi everyone! I had my transfer yesterday and had today off today. I am debating with myself whether to return to work on Monday (bearing in mind it can be busy and sometimes carry heavy items) or whether to stay at home. I know the title says bed rest but more lying on the sofa watching Netflix is

Update to liver Mets and other issues from scan
I saw my doctor today. This is another one of those times when I like to tell people I wouldn't wish breast cancer on anyone but it's very interesting with all of its twists and turns. So I was supposed to go on one clinical trial but that will not start for probably a couple of months. My options were

New liver Mets and other results from scan
Hi everyone I had a scan Monday and the results are not good. I have two new growths on my liver and several new nodules in my lungs. Also a large pleural effusion which I have never had. Bone scan showed activity on sternum. I will go to the doctor tomorrow to determine what is next. This was not totally

Awkward dilemma
Hi ladies. I have been stranded in Portugal since March 14th after coming for a 10 day break to my partners villa. It’s lovely here....but. There’s always a but isn’t there? I finished chemo in December and was hoping to go on a Parp but my CA125 went up and was given Letrozole. My scan was inconclusive

Ibrance and memory loss/confusion
Hello... I’m at a loss with concern about my mom... she has metastatic breast cancer that has moved to a tumor in her liver. She started Ibrance this past month. Her oncologist took her off of Anastrozole, which she had been taking for several years with little to no issue. Since starting the Ibrance

Phone call from my Oncologist
This post is for Sandra and anyone else who is interested. Sandra asked me to let her know about the Dr. visit. Got the call from my Oncologist this am. Firstly, she gave me the great news that the cost of Ibrance/Faslodex would now be free of charge. Previously it was costing $852.00 per month

Lung cancer update
It's been a long time since I posted and much has happened. A tumor in my lung which my oncologist and I have been following for 3 years has finally reached the point where we are looking into treatment options. The most promising one so far is stereoscopic radiation therapy. An appointment was originally

Anyone have problems on Xeloda? I feel I have lost my life . I sleep a lot during the day, fall over a lot. Have terrible tummy troubles. Can’t get out for much of a walk as all toilets are closed. Hands and feet better since one week off one week off. Wish I was back on taxol but not allowed until November

Ibrance Side effect question.
Hi ladies. Hope all is well and everyone is staying sane and safe. Does anyone have back discomfort on ibrance and or ibrance and Faslodex? It’s not like a pain but a pressure, gassy type thing. Seems to happen toward the end of the cycle. I do have lung and pleura Mets of the left side. This happens

PET/MRI scans show new activity
I was hoping that my oncologist would tell me that the areas in the iliac bone and bone marrow were indeed just inflammation from the radiation - but what she found with last week's scans is that I have some new activity in the bone that is "smoldering". No new tumor is seen, but the activity is there

How to see progression on your blood labs
Hi, so my last CT had a slight increase in a shadow in my liver so we decided to change Letrozole to Fulvestrant shots, staying on Ibrance and saving Piqurey for the future. Tuesday I went to get my blood labs and Fulvestrant shots. My CBC showed a decrease in Hemogloben. It was 11.2 2 months ago (skipped
