MRI Scan
Hi I had my liver MRI yesterday with gadolinium. I dread MRIs but it was actually not too bad and I kept my eyes closed throughout the 45 minute procedure. I’m having my underarm ultrasound and biopsy next Weds. I guess I will get my results at my next appointment with the Oncologist. In the meantime

Ibrance and Slow healing after surgery
I had
breast
reconstruction
and the side I just has lift on has a wound that still hasn’t healed completely after almost a month. The PA said it may be the Ibrance.

Ibrance questions
Is there an alternative to ibrance? What is the longest amount of time someone's been on ibrance? Does it compromise quality of life? Does anyone know of any clinical trials for stage IV metastatic breast cancer, with estrogen positive bone only mets?

Scared
I am scared. My CT scan now shows numerous mets although small (all under 7mm) in my liver, I have been on Ibrance and Letrozole since July of 2018. My tumor marks have been increasing since August of 2019 but the scans were all great till this one. So, how bad is this development? Is it just a bump

Necrosis
I’m troubled today as I have suffered with Necrosis of the jaw bone from a tooth extraction and having Denosumab injections. The past few days I have felt soreness and discomfort around the tooth socket which is basically just a hole now. I’ve had a good look and there seems to be a tiny piece of bone

Ibrance - to start or not?
Hi everyone - I'm posting on behalf of my mom, Maria. She was diagnosed with Stage II breast cancer in 2012, had a mastectomy and was put on tamoxifen (no chemo). We found out it came back in September of 2018. She currently has 2 tumors in her bone - t2 and l4 regions (only bone, no organs). She has

CT Scan Results
Hi My Oncologist has just rang me with my CT scan results. There is a new suspicious area in my liver that they want to look into more detail with an MRI scan. There is also a lymph node under my arm that they would like to biopsy and look at. My bones are looking fine. In the meantime, I will continue

Has anyone changed from letrozole & ibrance to tamoxifen after progression of tumors?
Hi, my mum has been on ibrance & letrozole for just over 1 yr. now (mets to the spine) and latest scans (due to hospital admission with fever and confusion) showed new tumor in brain! Oncologist has suggested radiotherapy for the new tumor (she had 2 days ago and so far so good) and a change of meds

Zometa vs Xgeva
Hello everyone! I have not posted in a very long time. I had bone density test and the Letrozole has wreaked havoc on my bones. So I'm going to start bone strengthening injections-it will either be Zometa or Xgeva. I'm just wondering what anyone's experiences been with either of these drugs. As always

Scheduled for SBRT
On Tuesday I am scheduled to begin a new road in this cancer journey. Five years ago I had a lumpectomy for breast cancer and while setting me up for follow up radiation they discovered a mass in my lung which turned out to be adenocarcinoma. Three months after the lumpectomy, I had a left upper lobectomy

Just starting ibrance
Yesterday I had my first faslodex injection, and today I take my first ibrance. I’m one of those who reads all prescribing info, and it sounds identical to the warnings about the IV chemo I had before. I’m interested in the experience of other people, and how seriously you take the warnings not to floss

Knowledge about the condition
Well, you all seem to know much more than I do. Ive been diagnosed during lockdown, and have had a few trips for scans and blood tests, but all my diagnosises have been by telephone. Then followed by the stark reality in a copy of the letter sent to my doctor. I've just completed one month of letrozole

After being so excited and hopeful after reading so many awesome stories about some getting results NED, I asked my onc if there is ever a chance that I could be NED and his answer was not likely:(

One thing after another
Hi All, I thought I might be spared anymore issues, but I lucked out. A few days ago I noticed my mediport catether near my neck(collar bone area) looked red and swollen, I made an appointment to see the surgeon who originally placed it and he said it needs to come out due to possible infection. Before

37yrs old- newly diagnosed with invasive lobular in the right breast. Debating double or single mastectomy. Advice?
Hi, I’m 37 and a mother of 2 boys, the youngest is 19months. I was diagnosed with multifocal invasive lobular carcinoma in my right breast 13 days ago and am a little shaken! So far my doctors don’t suspect any lymph node involvement and the tumor is ER+ PR+ and HER2- which is leading to an excellent

My husband is scheduled for a Colostomy on 5-08-2020. He said he is scared, I am crying because my husband is not scared of anything.
