Ibrance and Slow healing after surgery

Has anyone on Ibrance took longer to heal after surgery? I had breast reconstruction and the side I just has lift on has a wound that still hasn’t healed completely after almost a month. The PA said it may be the Ibrance.

I had hip replacement surgery and I had to be off of my Ibrance for 8 weeks (including time before and after surgery). I didn’t question but I know part of it was to keep my immune system high

I was told Palbo thins your blood. I am not supposed to take ibuprofen. No doubt another reason you had an 8 week holiday.

I had to stop my Vimovo as it contains naproxen which can thin your blood before my surgery but I was given it in the hospital as soon as the surgery was over

Hi my name is bev and I am from the UK just wanted to say that my oncologist has stopped my cancer treatment for 3 weeks so far for healing. I had to have all my teeth removed so I can have injections to my stomach going forward for further cancer treatments. He said it is to allow my immune system as the ibrance lowers the immune system. I hope this makes sense

Kind regards

I had to quit ibrance because it gave me chest pains and it scared me off. but before that, after having taken it only 4 mos., I had skinned my leg, just a light abrasion, and it started trying to get infected and not healing, there is still a dark spot there that looks like a bruise but it's not, whereas before such a light abrasion would have been gone in a day or two. Then I had an itch on my breast bone that I scratched too hard, same thing, light abrasion, took forever to heal! and I never let my anc get below 1,000. just what I encountered and yes, no doubt it was the ibrance. not trying to knock the drug, just reporting on how it affected me. God bless and heal us all in Jesus name, amen! :) xo
