MRI Scan

Hi

I had my liver MRI yesterday with gadolinium. I dread MRIs but it was actually not too bad and I kept my eyes closed throughout the 45 minute procedure.

I’m having my underarm ultrasound and biopsy next Weds.

I guess I will get my results at my next appointment with the Oncologist.

In the meantime, I’m busy researching possible next treatment options should the tests confirm progression. I hope and pray there is no progression and that I can continue on Ibrance and letrozole 🤞

Have a good weekend.

Yes it’s windy & chilly here too! Just had my weekly grocery delivery - well it’s stopped me dusting 😂

Still no flour .... I ordered Chenin blanc & they sent Sauvignon blanc - hey ho, I’m lucky to get a delivery.

Yes we are lucky to get a weekly delivery ... my Sainsburys delivery is tomorrow (on their priority Gov. U.K. vulnerable list ) , My brother , who makes his own bread , gets his flour by the sackful from a flour mill in his area ( in Yorkshire !) . x

Yes, I’m on the vulnerable list & use Sainsburys. The delivery men are working so hard at the moment and I don’t think they are paid that well. I always find them very helpful & I give them a little tip.👍

Hoping good news for you with the MRI. 🙏🏼

I hope your results are good. Waiting seems to be the worse.

Thanks Jo

So far so good re side effects...maybe a bit more joint pain but that’s what painkillers are for...I did a five mile walk today...quite chuffed with myself...I have a pedometer and often do several miles a day but that’s on my horse so I don’t think that counts!!!

Hope your bbq wasn’t a wash out...good idea re gazebo!!

Love

Here's hoping for no progression, and if there is an effective and tolerable next step.

I'm expecting a change in treatment when I see the doctor on Wednesday. I now have a 1cm liver lesion. I guess Ibrance wasn't the minor miracle I had hoped for. I only made it 15 mos.

Please let us know what they change you to and how you do. I'm pulling for you!

I know how you feel about MRI's. I have one every three months. I ask for a mask to cover my eyes so I won't peak. Good luck with your results.

Praying for you!

Hi Jo,

I'm glad your MRI went well for you. Waiting for results is never easy, is it? But hopefully the results will be good for you and you can stay on your current treatment. I wish you well with the ultrasound and biopsy on Wednesday. It can be a little uncomfortable having your underarm area biopsied. I had my axillary lymph node biopsied in 2018.

Take care,

Sophie

I hate MRI's too! You caught my attention with that statement. :-) I have bone mets in the bones around the brain among other bones in spine, and chest etc. But it is inactive now.

Still they make me get an MRI now and then. I have to get one in August. Already not looking forward to it. I get the other scans every 3 to 6 months depending. Those are not a problem for me. But I am thankful to Jesus that I was diagnosed 4.5 years and have not had any progression. I take Ibrance and Letrozole. I am 66 years old.

I too am waiting for my MRI results. I know I can’t do anything about it but still want to hear the results sooner than later. By the time I see the oncologist it will be 3 weeks 😬. Way to long to wait ! Jane
