Herceptin

I have been taking Herceptin and Perjeta but my echocardiogram showed my heart was getting hurt by the Herceptin. I only take the two every three weeks. Well I was going to take it this Tuesday but since it was hurting my heart I didn’t take it. So how long does it take to get this Herceptin to get out of my body. I’m having some side effects and I’m ready for it to stop. Any thoughts of how long it’s going to take for it to get out of my system?

I can not answer how long it will take for something to be gone from your system, but I can tell you to call for emergency services if you feel uncomfortable or need to.

I've been on Herceptin for most of 16years and it's been fine for me but as they always say, each one of us is different. Talk to your oncologist to get more specific info about what it's doing to your heart and how you need to handle the drugs. Do so right away.
