Carboplatin alternatives
I was diagnosed with Primary Peritoneal high grade serous cancer stage 3C in early 2021. I had 6 cycles of Carboplatin and Paclitaxel, radical surgery, two more chemo cycles then Niraparib for just over a year until it stopped working and my CA125 began to rise rapidly. Surgery was considered and

Thyroid private blood tests - new company
Hi - A couple weeks ago someone posted a new company offering thyroid tests that have blood drawing clinics in London and is very reasonably priced. I have just had an unfortunate experience with Medichecks as the clinic I chose in London had no appointments for over a month. I am being issued a refund

Castrate levels of Testosterone
My husband's testosterone level is 3nmol/L (86.5 ng/100ml). In the past year, his levels have ranged between 2-8 nmol/L. He's on quarterly Zoladex. I understand that castrate levels are ideally < 20 ng/100ml. If I understand correctly, his testosterone should be much lower. Can anyone please shed

Finasteride: "Miracle drug" regrows hair, heals prostate, and also boosts heart health ByEric Ralls Earth.com
I am now thinking to add Finasteride to Bicalutamide plus degarelix injections. Would/could it help me if on the psma pet scan my only visible cancer is in my prostate? I had radiation therapy to my prostate but my prostate cancer is back and looks like that the radiation therapy failed and the most

Silly Questions??
1) Why do some advanced prostate cancer patients get offered "vacations", from ADT and others don't? 2) Why do some advanced prostate cancer patients have NO Chemo, and go directly to ADT + Abiraterone+Prednisone, while others begin treatment with chemo and radiation? What are the deciding criteria

clear cell update
I just finished my second round of immunotherapy, which is Opdiva and Yervoy . After one month my CA, 125 dropped from 133 to 53. I’m truly astounded and hope it keeps working on my clear cell tumor. If you’re OVCA is clear cell, you should inquire to your oncologist about this.

Castration by Estrogen Patch
This plot shows a dramatic decrease in testosterone and PSA after starting estrogen patch therapy, indicating that transdermal estrogen (TDE) therapy effectively castrates men, and with fewer side effects than Lupron ADT.

Chemo in Tablet Form
Morning everyone I was diagnosed with high grade serous ovarian cancer in 2020. I have gone through all the various chemo treatments available (pacitaxol, carboplatin, Caelyx, Gemcitabine, Niraparib and a trial. I was hoping to go on another trial but due to plural effusion, collapsed lung etc unfortunately

The paradigm has shifted - castrate resistance.
It now appears that I’ve entered the land of castrate resistance and further ADT vacations are no longer in the plan. My T level recovered much more quickly during the last vacation than during previous vacations, and my PSA rose correspondingly. At 4 months my T level was 325 and my PSA was 4. Another

ALP AND RADIUM 223
My husband has had 2 sessions of radium 223 and the oncologist is pleased that his ALP has reduced to ‘normal’ levels after the first session and stayed the same after the second. However his PSA has continued to rise and has doubled over the last 3 months since he stopped abiraterone. The oncologist

Progression of BC Mets
I have had a good run of my Ibrance, (in different dosages), and Letrozole combination since 2017 after 1st Mets diagnosis. (History ER+ Her2- BC) Now I have progression and I'm not sure my doctor is going down the right road. She is suggesting Kisqali and Faslodex. From what I've read, Kisqali would
