Other foods that many coeliac have prob's with that are gf?
This is something that comes up time and time again. And these foods cause concern for many coeliac as it confuses the issue. Genius bread comes in for a lot of flak and that seems to be because of its high fat content, also some coeliac have problems with xanthan gum and physilium husk. These are

My husband wants to know,if anyone knows if there is a link between dairy-intolerance,thyroid cancer and thyrotoxic periodic paralysis? At 49 years of age has discovered he is dairy-intolerant and after removal of dairy from his diet, all symptoms of periodic paralysis have gone. Could the intolerance

What a busy week for Volunteer Network it’s been
I am writing this on Thursday 16th September and reflecting on my week and thought I would share with you what I’ve been up to since last Thursday. It was a pleasant enough day for my drive to Swansea from Maidenhead where I met the lovely Gillian Knight, Member and Volunteer, who with her husband

Taxol Side Effects?????????? Help please!!
She had a
bowel
obstruction
last week prior to treatment but this was sorted out and she has had no further problems with that, so I do not think it is that. She was fine on Carboplatin last year only had a bit of nausea, so this is totally different for her.

Is it likely that taking aspirin may help families with BRCA2 gene mutation?
Hi All, I have been watching the news and see that taking aspirin is likely to help people with a history of bowel cancer. I had breast cancer at the age of 32 and ovarian cancer at the age of 52. It is Stage 3C. I responded well to taxol and carboplatin but had a relapse in March and thankfully

Santa found me some Caeylx
Hi All, Quick update for those interested in my journey. As you may recall my CA125 went down to 90 after treatment 3 in first line chemo but then started rising. Last chemo was 28th October and as of 19th December my CA125 was around 480, doubling about every 4 weeks. PET scan shows it is in my Peritoneum

Looking for advice
Hi, my mum has recently been admitted to hospital with blood clots in both legs and both lungs; fluid in her abdomen & lungs which has cancer cells and a 14 cm "mass" which they have now advised is a polyp. Although they have not found her primary cancer it is likely to be ovarian or in her uterus &

Hi from Lynn
hi all my friends hope you are all ok! what i would like to know is about the CA125 blood test. I know its called a tumour marker test here in South Africa. What exactly does it measure? If there are no tumours present and does it also detect any cancer cells that may be left lurking? I have my 4th chemo
